one decoder, 2 TV's

Did you tune your 2nd tv to correct frequency as set on your decoder?

The 2nd tv only has NTSC, PAL & AUTO and none of them are picking up dstv

What frequency am I supposed to be using?

Tune into channel or some newer tv's you can just put in the frequecy

Those are broadcast formats, not frequencies. Tune it on UHF as you would tune into a standard old fashioned SABC / e-tv signal.

EDIT: The correct format is PAL

Setback amplifier will be useless with your current decoder...

I agree. Forget about the amplifier . They in any case more of an interference on your signal if not tuned in correctly .And as Q..T.. stated , does not fit in your current setup. Just go with a new decoder.

Thanx guyus! I managed to pick up the uhf frequency! Dstv is nicely setup in the bedroom :)
