OnePlus 13

Anyone bought from the UAE?

They seem to have the global version at about R13.5k...

Nope, that's the Indian version. You get Global, Indian and Chinese.

The Indian version apparently lacks certain options and apparently also has a higher screen failure rate, according to Reddit.

Here is the global international version.

That's still only R1000 more which still isn't bad. Looking more for feedback on whether anyone bought from this site before, what the experience is, what the total cost comes to etc...

They seem legit.

If you don't mind the Indian version, can always use Amazon UAE and global shopper. I believe global shopper offers a postbox in Dubai.

Don't fear the Indian version. If you can't live with it, flashing a Global rom is easy. But Indian users get preferential treatment. I'd say Indian version actually has more features. Call recording for example. Theme store support another example and they get firmware upgrades 1st too.... I've personally considered changing from GLO to IN firmware on my OP12...

Are there no issues with notifications when flashing from Ins to global? Or was that just from CN to global? There are mixed reports on reddit.

I'm also tempted to buy a OP13.

I think the difficulties come in with CN phones running colorsOS flashed with GLO/EU/IN oxygenOS. The OP13s assigned to global markets including India are sound... factory flashed versions of oxygenOS 15 that are OTA compatible...

The notifications bug is completely random to the best of my knowledge...

OnePlus posts an April 1 joke video with an actual 13T teaser

OnePlus posted a video introducing its new product, the OnePlus Hammer. The device can transform objects through quantum rearrangement and create new products. If you haven't caught it by now, it's an April Fools' joke.

The host of the faux event transformed himself into a “small and powerful device” called the OnePlus 13T. This way, the company basically confirmed the new device and said we would see it this month.

OnePlus initially claimed there would be no more T products, as they were “diluting the flagship portfolio,” and we haven't seen one since August 2022. Apparently, this will change, and while the R will keep its premium-but-not-top-tier status, the OnePlus 13T will be smaller.

The OnePlus 13T will likely be the first model to ditch the Alert Slider in favor of a smart button

If you haven’t heard, OnePlus is axing the Alert Slider. The company makes the argument that a smart button will be more customizable, which is something that its fans have been asking for. The OnePlus 13T will likely be the first phone to drop the slider in favor of a customizable button.

Li Jie, President of OnePlus China, shared this image and says that “the OnePlus 13T has been upgraded with a new shortcut key.” It will support switching between Silent/Vibration/Ringing modes just like the slider, it will also offer easy access to other features. OnePlus has designed “a very interesting function” for the button, which will be revealed soon.

When surveying fans of small phones, OnePlus found that they like flat screens – and so the OnePlus 13T will have a small screen. The exact dimensions haven’t been officially confirmed, but rumors claim that the 13T will have a 6.3” display.

OnePlus 13T debuts with 6.3" OLED, Snapdragon 8 Elite and 6,260mAh battery

After a three-year hiatus, OnePlus is back to making T-series phones. But the OnePlus 13T is not just a spec bump, it’s an entirely different take on the OnePlus 13 with a focus on ergonomics. The device was unveiled in China and is expected to make its global debut in the coming months.

This is a premium compact flagship smartphone with a 6.32-inch LTPO AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 1-120Hz adaptive refresh rate.

The 13T is just over 150mm (5.9”) tall and under 72mm (2.8”) wide, making one-hand operation a much more plausible task. The display on the 13T features an integrated optical fingerprint scanner, a 16MP front-facing camera, and is protected by Oppo Crystal Shield Glass.

The signature Alert Slider is replaced by the “Shortcut Key” which can still toggle between sound profiles but it’s also programmable, so users can launch other shortcuts and apps.

Most compact smartphones don’t get decently sized batteries but the 13T takes exception. It features a 6,260mAh silicon-carbon cell with 80W fast charging. OnePlus also added a 4400mm² VC cooling area to help keep thermals in check.

OnePlus 13s brings Snapdragon 8 Elite power, 5,850mAh battery in a small 6.32" form factor

The smallest of small flagships, the sub-6” kind, but there is a lot of demand for 6.3” or so models with a top chipset. Unfortunately, the usual options are pretty pricey – and there are some that have very limited availability. OnePlus has a solution for the first problem, not so much for the second one.

The OnePlus 13s debuts exclusively for India – it’s a 6.32” phone powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite. It’s only 71.7mm wide, 8.15mm thick and weighs 185g. That’s lighter than the Pixel 9 Pro or iPhone 16 Pro, but with a much larger battery.

Besides its size, the 13s stands out with its flagship chipset. The 8 Elite is paired with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB or 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. The chip is cooled by a 4,400mm² vapor chamber and a clever innovation – the first cooling layer on the back panel to help the phone expel heat faster. The 13s runs OxygenOS 15 (Android 15) out of the box.

We mentioned the battery – it has a whopping 5,850mAh capacity. Not only is this great for a mini, it’s great overall. A Galaxy S25 Ultra has a 5,000mAh battery, for example, an iPhone 16 Pro Max has only 4,685mAh. The phone supports 80W SuperVOOC charging (faster than any Galaxy, Pixel or iPhone) and has Bypass Charging (i.e. running directly off wall power).

OnePlus says that the 13s can spend just over 7 hours of playing BGMI on a single charge without going below 120fps or needing external power.

The display is a 6.32” LTPO OLED panel with 1,216 x 2,640px resolution. It has a variable refresh rate from 1Hz to 120Hz and renders 10-bit colors and Dolby Vision support. The high brightness mode reaches 1,600 nits and it can go down to just 1.1 nit. Brightness is controlled via high-frequency 2,160Hz PWM.

OnePlus only had room for two rear cameras. The first one is the 50MP main with a 1/1.56” Sony LYT-700 sensor (1.0µm pixels) and an f/1.8 lens with OIS. The second module is a 2x telephoto with a 50MP Samsung JN5 sensor (0.64µm pixels) and an f/2.0 lens (note: this one only has electronic stabilization). Check out our first camera samples here. Either camera can record 4K video at 60fps with Dolby Vision HDR.

My last OP was the 6T. Moved to POCO all these years. Last year I couldn't resist the S24 Ultra. Just received an OP13R to play with.

The notification panel shade is terrible in both light mode and dark mode. The font in the notifications do not stand out like they're supposed to.
Notifications on lock screen dissappear from lock screen once you unlock the phone.
This does not happen on ONE UI. Notifications stay on lock screen until you interact or dismiss.

These 2 things are irritating me as this is used frequently.

And all this while I'm still on setting up stage. Seriously thinking of not switching from S24 Ultra to OP13R.
Came back to OnePlus for the Alert Slider & IR Blaster, getting lousy notification panel.
