Oneplus 3T

Yeah. Sure they'll be rolling out the 5 soon. Beast! Keen to get my grubby paws on one. Hope pricing is going to continue to under cut the premium brands.

Yes, price point will be key to its continued success and cultish following.

It can stand as a worthy competitor now though in a semi-premium price point.

The push-back will be due to it's support & distribution channel lacking international representation. The premium price pays for that, so without it there will be great reluctance to pay premium price.

It's at the tipping point now - current rumours are indicating a price point as high as $650 - but maybe they are wanting to see a reaction first. Probably in the region of $550—580 would be reasonable go the specs.

The market will decide in the end. Might have to be a completely new market and that will be tough for them without good international support in place.

Competition is stiff in China, the Mi 6 has already launched at $450 for the 64GB model so I think if OnePlus ups there price too much, followers will move on to the next bang for buck device.

I dont mind a Xiaomi, except I do not like the fact that the software is totally customised. Current reveiws of the device give it great ratings for speed and polish.

I received this from Zasttra yesterday: https://www.zasttra.com/products/oneplus-three-0-26mm-9h-surface-hardness-explosion-proof-colorized-silk-screen-tempered-glass-full-screen-filmblack

A week after I ordered, they dropped the price from R175 to R40 (FML). The protector was fairly easy to install, and the phone works fine so far with the cover. I can see the grid pattern under certain angles and there's the rainbow effect in the centre at times too. It doesn't bother me, since I'd rather have my screen protected than not

This morning my phone slid onto my desk as I was putting it down (a distance of 5cm-10cm) and the glass screen protector cracked. The Nillkin case I have is open along the top and bottom, so the impact was on the bottom edge of the screen. A little disappointed that the glass protector was that flimsy, but I suppose I need to get a better case.
:(

The latest update from OnePlus improves battery life quite considerably. I'm running it for less than 24hours but my screen on time at 50% has improved from +-3hrs to over 4.5hrs!!

Improves phone speed by milliseconds but it is noticeable

Bluetooth streaming had a slight stutter which is now gone and GPS syncs must quicker

ooh must check that update out

have any of you that have setup the google assistant find that it is lurcking in the background and when you wake the phone up it says something? which of courses causes the battery to drain quite quickly.

I Have disabled Google App completely. Not worth the battery drain for what it offers me

where did you get this update when the site shows a 17 April ROM?

ah so there it is indeed

btw any vpn server with a canada server will do

Remember to clear your cache with every update. Turn the phone off and hold power and volume down to clear cache, be careful not to wipe the phone memory as they are in the same menu!!

This is the system cache which cannot be accessed through android.

When doing normal system updates that shouldn't be necessary. And if needed, the update should take care of that itself.

It helps mostly when you change ROMs

This update and being in a non-major city have coincided. But my network connectivity has gone to ****. WiFi, 4G and 3G

What network? I'm on MTN and it has gotten better... Maybe try that cache wipe...

Nah it seems Cell C is just crap here as the Vodacom sim seems to be strong
