Oneplus 6

Regarding Spotify, uninstalling and reinstalling the app fixed all the issues for me.

Wonder if it's a known bug?

Also front facing camera, stock selfies lack detail. It's like the beauty mode is permanently on.

Take a selfie using portrait mode though, and there is far more detail. The image is far sharper.

I been using the modded gcam app too, has a plethora of custom settings but is a little buggy, but the selfie pics are incredibly detailed and sharp in comparison to native app.

I haven't tested it yet, but you could also try using an alternative quality camera app from the Play Store like Camera Zoom FX. I used to rely heavily on it in past years as it very noticeably improved camera quality.
 
So I am just looking.....

What will be the best deal and where to get from for the 1+6? What should one expect to pay as I have seen prices from around 10.5K - 14K. Possibly around 8K? Will it be better to wait a couple or months for the price to come down? I also don't want anything mirror or mirror black....

6T should be out in November. Might be worth waiting for.

There's a very active 'Gearbest rep' over at Carbs. No ratings so I'm not sure if anyone has gone the Gearbest route but definitely worth a look...

Thanks. Those prices seem to be directly converted and doesn't seem to include shipping and import fees. I can get from Gearbest directly.


Is the 6T a cheaper version?

Yeah, think it includes shipping but not import duties. Sent you a PM yes.

Import duties seems to be a bit hit and miss depending on the custom officer that handles your package. Ridiculous but true.

Oneplus next flagship is the 6T. Won't be cheaper, no. Their update cycle is hyper aggressive on account of their product range being limited to a single cell phone. Every 6 months basically..

Oh okay, so the 6 should become cheaper then to make space for the 6T.

You would think, but I haven't found that to be the case. Sometimes the opposite in fact. Unlike other manufacturers, once their new flagship launches they cease sales of the outgoing model quite soon after.

The F1 isn't available in basically all markets though last I checked, and in any case isn't necessarily better value for someone who can budget for a $530 phone.

The OP6 is really close to perfect. The 6T doesn't need to do anything more than adopt the latest Oppo design (so that new one with the tiny notch). Anything else is a bonus, like a bigger battery or even better camera.

Sure there will be a lot more than a new notch and bigger battery though. What's the next snapdragon chip? 855? Maybe it will come with official ip rating? No big deal but so many reviewers make a fuss about it. And wireless charging, although dash is so quick, why would one use wireless charging? Stereo speaker setup would be welcome too.

But yeah, 6 is such a great handset. Still absolutely loving mine.
