Yep, this is through the Vodacom upgrade portal so it is probably discounted for current subscribers. I've been waiting for the right deal and this may be it!Mmmmm... I'm not seeing this. Are you an existing Vodacom customer? I'm not so maybe this deal is only for current subscribers?

S hit man, that's a pity!! Damn it!! Yeah, at R399 it's a very sweet deal!! I mean, so sweet I'd be prepared to port from MTN! Although with the dual sim functionality of the OP, that wouldn't be necessary. R9600 over 2 years for a 7T Pro plus the minutes, sms and data, Ja, it's a very decent deal alright.Yep, this is through the Vodacom upgrade portal so it is probably discounted for current subscribers. I found the deal under Shop > Specials > Red Hot Dealz and that was before I signed into the website.I'm seeing the 7t Pro for R499 now, not R399, unless I'm looking at the wrong deal... Very good deal at R399, I must say. I'd be tempted at that price not that there is anything wrong with my 7Pro but my daughter would love to retire her OP6 at some stage. The Pro would be a decent upgrade for her....
Its a steal for R399. Also got myself oneThe Vodacom website has an online exclusive deal for this - It's now R399 x 24.
I managed get my first OnePlus phone.
Awesome, done... just hope it isn't network locked and no issues with the dual sim functionality...I found the deal under Shop > Specials > Red Hot Dealz and that was before I signed into the website.
and if you go here - https://www.vodacom.co.za/cloud/shopping/product-details/OnePlus_7T_Pro and click "I want this device on contract" you have the R399 option and some other contract packages.
I don't think it's exclusive to upgrades only.
do they still network lock phones besides those chose vodacom ones?Awesome, done... just hope it isn't network locked and no issues with the dual sim functionality...
Don't think so! Don't think any of the networks have for years now, but you just never know?!! I think at the very worst the phone might come with a whole lot of Voda crap installed and on the splashscreen etc.... will most likely root in any event... and load custom rom...do they still network lock phones besides those chose vodacom ones?

Have they? I'll be seriously pissed if they do the same on the OP. Very simple phone to root though, unless Vodacom can mess with that too? Will void warranty though.Vodacom have been known to software block dual SIM on the Xiaomi's
Im sure you will be able to flash other software. As you said OnePlus is easy to root and flash softwareHave they? I'll be seriously pissed if they do the same on the OP. Very simple phone to root though, unless Vodacom can mess with that too? Will void warranty though.
Maybe some of you that have ordered your devices early can check and revert re bloatware, network lock and dual SIM functionality. Any one of those and I might have to send mine back on delivery.

Network locks are back, but are only being used on the lower end of the spectrum on subsidized phones for now. They also mark these phones clearly.Don't think so! Don't think any of the networks have for years now, but you just never know?!!
For sure but then rooting would most likely void warranty. If I had an issue with the phone I would need to revert it to stock before returning it.Im sure you will be able to flash other software. As you said OnePlus is easy to root and flash software
According to Vodacom sales call centre the 7T Pro is the 12GB version. But they couldn't tell me anything else, e.g. network-locked, etc.Wonder if @Ockie would be able to provide any answers regarding the 7T/7T Pro:
1.) Network locked or not?
2.) Vodacom bloatware custom installed on the phone?
3.) Dual sim functionality disabled or not?
Most importantly for me is the cancellation terms. Website says device cost is 220pm. I'd just pay that off and cancel the contract. Rep was supposed to get back to me, but pretty sure he thought it's too much PT, so I'm not holding my breath.
