I'm getting closer and closer to just getting one of these.

I dont like the big size but if that's what I have to do to get decent battery life out of a phone then so be it.

I was worried about the size (coming from a Nexus 5, already something bigger than I'd ideally like), but it's perfectly manageable 2 days in. And yesterday I went to sleep with the battery still at 70% - and being free of the need to be paranoid about charge, or to have to recharge mid-day, is rather enjoyable!

I came from an iphone 4s to a OPO. At first, it does feel very big, but give it a few days and you'll love it. I wouldn't be able to go back to a smaller device. And the battery life is excellent

So tomorrow apparently OnePlus have a 1 hour window where they will take orders without invites.
Have decided I'll be placing my order then. Can't wait for its good battery life.

Battery life - my favorite killer feature of my OPO!

Normally yes. But I live in DE...

Did you order one?

My S3 felt too small within about 2 hours of me fondling my OPO :)

Honestly... No.

I had it in my basket and was ready to click buy when they started having hectic website issues.

I then remembered somebody else told me they bought a Sony Xperia Z2 and it's a great phone so I googled it a bit while waiting for the website to come back on and realised that phone looks awesome as well.

So now I'm very unsure. Aparently there's a 6 week wait for today's Oneplus orders as well.

The Z2 looks like it has a better battery. Marginally anyway.
Phone is smaller as well.
Waterproof.
Much better camera than the Oneplus.
Same cpu and 3gb ram as well.

Biggest difference is the screen size and Android flavour.

Not sure which one to choose tbh.

If you're not concerned with the price difference between the phones then the Z2 is probably a better bet for you. You can flash CM on the Z2 if you don't like its firmware.

Actually, you may be onto something. If you get a Z2 from orange, it'll cost you like R200 more. Check this link http://store.orange.com/za/mobile-phones/sim-free-phones/sony-xperia-z2-black-258868/

It was much more expensive when I was looking for a new phone. And it may well be slightly better than a OPO. And now considering that they're priced similarly, and you wouldn't have to wait so long, maybe get the Z2. Having said that, I'm still very happy with my OPO :)

Just my 2c
