I used NYbox. Got my phone here for about R4800, including shipping and customs. That being the 64gb version

No issues with the phone, works perfectly on telkom mobile

Exact same for me. Used NYbox and paid about R4800 in total for 64gb version

Interesting that you both paid around the same.. I might be able to get my uncle to ship it to me from the UK. Unfortunately he is here in SA for the next 3 months so I wont be able to get it during the pre-order period later this month :( Ill have to try get a invite.

R4800 isnt too bad.

What were the import duties?

Shipping time in the last open order day was 4 to 6 weeks.

Declared the value for $150 and paid R360 import duties. (used UPS to ship it)

Will if I Pre-order it and it takes around 6 weeks that means my uncle might be back by the time it arrives

If its declared as a gift isnt it tax exempt? Might just ask my uncle to get it for me in that case :p

Edit: Id like to try UPS out. My experience with DHL in the past hasnt been too awesome.

On the package NYbox actually wrote "electronics" and marked it as a gift. But I still had to pay the R360

I wonder if thats not the same thing that DHL charged me for with my Pebble. Some fee for dealing with customs.I got charge R200 by DHL and then about R400 by customs even though the shipping had already been paid for!

I'm in the UK, paid £269 + shipping of £5 which is ~R4800.

Quite a bit more than US price, but makes a damn good deal for you getting the phone at that price shipped to SA!

Anyone want a Sandstone Black 64GB?
Ordered, paid and it's at my friends place in Virginia - Just bought it out of hype and realized I don't really need it or want it as I have a S5.
I'm about to send it back for a refund but decided to check if anyone needs 1 here

It's brand new sealed in the box - you will have to arrange and pay shipping + duties

Let me know before Thurs

Maybe put it in the classifieds section, as well as carbonite

Nah to much of a schlep, not wanting to make a profit on it or anything.

Just want what I paid for it, if no one wants it i'll just return it

I don't think it's much of a schlep, you don't have to be making a profit too. Just trying to make a suggestion :)

Received my 64GB OPO this morning, have been playing with it since then, nice phone.

If it was dual sim, it would have been perfect.

No sign of the yellow screen tinge that someone mentioned.

Love the Cyanogen Android.

ive just had a look at the price of getting the OPO from the UK and from the US.

costs 269 pounds vs $349

roughly R4800 vs R3900 not including shipping... yikes. Looks like I'll be getting one through NY Box

That's weird. Maybe tax reasons? You should probably use stackry instead of nybox

Well I used nybox, they were ok, but have read some reviews of them that don't make you want to send your stuff to them. From the looks of it, everyone that's used Stackry has been very happy with them
