Openserve price hikes from 1 April

South Africa's second-biggest fibre network operator (FNO) Openserve will increase the wholesale prices of its fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) products from 1 April 2025.

The FNO typically adjusts its FTTH pricing on this date every year, aligning with the start of the financial year of its parent company Telkom.

We have to consider again with fiber providers and their price increase. Telkom was the cheap option but not anymore.

Fiber prices can't go up forever each year though. Surely there will come a point where it has to plateau.

For some people this enough. Personally, 50/50mb should be sufficient for a small household.
Slowest speeds offered are 50/25. I could probably manage with the 40/20 if Afrihost actually offered it but I can't find any evidence that they do - same goes for the 20/10 package.
