I did look at a new PVR but they removed the coaxial output on the decoders, so the only option to extend to a different room is to upgrade the LNB and add another decoder with extra view.

At least the XtraView would be part of the PVR-use charge.

But... you can use the composite video + audio output, will do fine to another room if close enough.

In this case it's probably an ARM SoC intended for STB, with a MALI series GPU specifically designed for playing video

NGL the UI & actual unit looks a great deal better than I expected.

I even have that elusive USB for recording or rewinding.

Years ago when the feature was launched I got the cheapest one just to test it out.
Never really used the option.

Interestingly though, I could copy the software onto a larger drive, rename it and it would work with the PVR.

Don't worry they will start bricking our old decoders any day now, so you will have to get a new one in any case.

Anybody bought this yet?

How stable is it, regarding keeping signal etc?

My NA9200 acts up keeping the signal and needs a reset after a while. And no it is not the dish alignment etc, it is plugged into a centralised dish setup in a complex. My older Elsat decoder died yesterday when trying to use it again, had signal issue rescan, and unplugged etc and it died.
