openweb 4mb all hours uncapped

OpenWeb Network, powered by Internet Solutions.

If you compare this to the Business Uncapped ADSL pricing, at 1024k for R3199, this is indeed a saving. Also, minus the 12 month contract and setup fee.

I am not sure why folks see this as a consumer package. It is not focused on the consumer. It was not made for the consumer. It is for corporate clients. We are yet to receive a signup from one home user. All our clients on this package are corporate clients.

Yes, it is expensive, but not in South African terms.

We need to get away from this ''SA terms'' excuse....it is that sort of line that keeps prices in this country so high and people accepting

We are supposed to be the leaders in Africa but we are slowing becoming the losers in Africa and the world.....

You say no limits... how many concurrent connections for the R3000/m offering?

Looks interesting, our uncapped 1mb lines at work are taking strain under all the facebook (ab)users. I like that part of no contracts - something IS seem to love.

4096k ALL HOURS Uncapped

Only R2899

Yea....I'll bet you are "Loving It" :p

The price for this service should be under R500 a month!

Personally, I don't mind paying under R1,000 for it. It'd still be an excellent deal.

Another thing that would interest me is if ISPs could tailor packages to their clients. For example, a 4mbps "uncapped" account with a 50GB (monthly) threshold before having the line speed cut for under R1,000 (ideally including rental, but I can live without) would be perfect for me.

Sounds more like you need a decent firewall/proxy. :D

4 Meg Uncapped

Hi Guys.

I have one of these accounts and have nothing but problems since I received it a week ago. Day time speeds are basically 1.1 meg with the odd spikes. SSL give problems, torrents and P2P are slow. Local seems to be alright. But international is a nightmare during business hours

Mr Beep from Openweb has been logging calls on my behalf to Vodacom the supplier to get it resolved. Trying his hardest to get it fixed for which I am very greatfull. Been a client of Openweb for a couple of years and they do go the extra mile for you. Also have 2 Router Based 1Meg Uncapped accounts via I/S through Openweb which beats the 4 Meg hands down in reliability. However I needed more speed and hence trying the 4 Meg.

Enjoy your day

The only way you're gonna get that, which in other words is "dont rip us off service" is...

www.flysaa.com

Select "International" -> "Washington D.C" (or other USA dest) and enter your dates and provide your CC no.

Dont forget your passport ;)

IS is a limit on it's own lol..

Rubbish, i use about 90-100gb of Is bandwidth a month and i never have problems, apart fromt he odd day that is a bit slow it runs like a dream dude.

Dunno why people knock IS, i prefer IS to saix in all honesty.

I took the plunge and bought myself one of these accounts last week.

WOW is all I can say. Unlike IS's 'uncapped' accounts, I am achieving excellent speeds on my networks.

Well done to Openweb and Vodacom.

I will be moving our companies other 4 branches to this network from November.

I'm also interested in the OpenWeb All Hours Uncapped, however am a bit edgy since there seem to be some mixed reviews.

Anyone out there (preferably from the Cape Town region) with one of these accounts mind pinging this IP to test UK latency?

83.138.151.80

Thanks!

Thank you cableguy, that's perfect. Apparently cybersmart is getting sub 200ms latencies to the UK... I believe that both services are routed via the sat3 fibre. Any ideas?

uum, are there still any of the 4mb all hours accounts but without any kind of contract?
