I can barely open this page.

This is the response I got the other day:

Thank you for your email.
You are using a shaped uncapped product. Shaping will be applied during peak periods.
The network is extra busy on a Monday.
If you download during peak, browsing becomes shaped alongside the download protocol.
An hour or so after you have closed your peak time download, your browsing protocol becomes unshaped again
May we suggest you schedule your downloads for after 19:00 and ALL weekend.

I mean really? FFS its 9:10pm

By the way nothing is downloading at the moment
This is on a 10mb line I mean wtf??????
There is 1 x device connected to router via cable. Everything else unplugged.

That's not shaping, that is some serious exchange congestion or a line/hardware fault.

Looks like some serious exchange congestion? Tried other ISPs? Free Afrihost or WebAfrica GB?

Stay connected with the AH account for a while and test again after 30 to 60 minutes.

There is also definitely something wrong here too (see the lines I bolded).

My tracerts to google.com take me a completely different route. Why would that be?

Tracert to the IP address is correct though, and almost identical to marine1's.

BUT, marine1, that tracert looks normal. Seems you might be getting hit with exchange congestion at certain times of the day/night. Weird that when you change accounts though it normalises...

Same here, now suddenly it works fine. Its too late to fix your problems now openweb. People already cancelled, no use trying to get them to stay now.

Last night I was about to cancel.
I am sick and tired of every month the same crap.
If you don't have enough bandwidth or whatever then sort it out.
You can't tell me that using afri made such a huge difference
