Hey Friends,

Please post your feedback into this thread regarding the OpenWeb ADSL products :)
 
Morning,

What's going on at OpenWeb? Why is it that I have to email/Log a call nearly everyday this week to get my line to perform normally? A good old explanation would do just perfectly.

I'm like a kid a Christmas. Had 3 gigs a month for the last couple of years. Decided to take up the R79 uncapped offer this month and am getting decent speeds during the day for my browsing and full line speed at night (and sometimes during the day) for downloads. Just want to publicly say thanks to OW- I'm a fan!

Hey Friends,

An update on the Internet Solution IPC issue. The upgrades should be completed this coming week. All should return back to normal.

I would like to apologise for the inconvenience. We are in constant communication with our upstream provider to ensure this does NOT happen again.

Thank you for your loyal support! Now back to the downloads!
 
Thanks for the good news MrBeep. Almost 5pm then my downloads will fly again :)

All is still well. Pretty sure I pulled quite a bit of data this month - no idea how much though. Lots I guess. :p
 
I just checked the http://users.isdsl.net/index.php, and it looks like there is someone else logged onto my line at the same times as me, right now :wtf:

From New Doorfontein??

I am watching it count the megabytes being downloaded right now ???

MrBeep, can you provide me with some sort of method for setting my own password?

Just keep changing it (Openweb a/c pass). Plus router pass (NB).

afaik OW doesn't have a method to lock it to a line yet.

We have covered this topic before. These stats are for the pipe opposed to your account, thus they are not accurate.

Please do not use this facility. Check with our CP. Most accounts support usage stats from within already. The others are currently being added.

I got a 2GB Openweb Account for this month.

I don't know if this is normal (on my 384kbps line):

Then I did a second test:

But my browsing feels much faster than these speeds, and my downloads are much faster.

Hey MrCookieMonster,

Are you running a speedtest whilst downloading? This could perhaps explain the slower speeds.

Are all user a/c active in the new CP now? What is the URL to access it etc? I've been hearing about it for a while and am keen to see what it looks like. Thanks.
 
If you got an account during a special, you don't have access to the CP, apparently. If you've got a standard account, you can access the CP through openweb.co.za.

We did get a Gold account when it was on special. As yet, I haven't been given CP login details yet.

Will we ever get one?
