p2p and nntp are generally multithreaded so you can't really compare. The point was that the speedtests were starkly inferior to those of a different ISP and to Seeyou's experience on a cheaper account.

mr beep,
i emailed support about my debit order problem,i went to the bank and i do have money in
then i made a eft payment
then i fount that promotion acc are only for debit order
i emailed him the proof of payment
i gave my card details again,and he updated my "details"
then he given me a new account to use
and then he will try/see if the debit order works in june
cuz i alredy payed for this month via eft
but the account he gave me wont login (at the router)
eny idee way?

@akescpt max out at 3 bars, with two games between 19:40 and 20:00 getting me only two, but no visible lag, might not have been connecting to local hosts.
I'm guessing but those fellows on full bars must have 4mb lines and up, but from my experience the gamers account, i got ZERO complaints

MrBeepinator, sometimes with my OW and AH logins it won't auth until I reset the port. I doubt this is a DSL provider error but rather a line issue. This /does/ happen often but I don't reboot so it doesn't affect me much. Just saying this issue does happen..
Do you have any port security set on these accounts?

All I know is it sometimes won't login. (Remember someone saying something about Telkom not releasing the account) it doesn't trouble me much because I hardly ever reboot.
Its your Telkom line, please phone them.
My line is with Afrihost. While I would normally, it does't cause me much trouble thanks to their Fix My Line thing

i always used copy and past when i change data account never had that probs b4, well i i manualy tiped it in and it worked thank you
just to know,i am on the gamers king 1mbps
is this a temperately acc they given me also gamers king?
or will this be my new permanent acc on gamers king and the old one will be deactivated
as long as i get good speed and its stable i am happy

Can anyone please tell me what the gaming latency is like with OW? While I am mainly playing SWTOR now, I also play STO, LoL, ME3 and will be going back to D3 at some stage and am wondering if anyone can give me information regarding latencies.
The biggies in that list would be SWTOR and STO.
The reason for asking is due to the 6mb option you are (cleverly) offering. While I am not unhappy with MWEB, my line has just received a little boost (from 4mb) and I have my eyes on that 6mb special OW is running.

if anyone plays mw3 on OW can answer my query i would be most appreciative:
on my current package i never get more than 2 yellow bars in the game summary. i want 5 green like the guys who kill me over and over and over. would upgrading to a gamers account move to the green signal status in the summary?
mr beep any chance of a test 1mb gamers account? im extremely happy with my account now so i dont want to upgrade only to find out that it had no effect on my gameplay.
I'm on a 'Gamers King' 1Mb line. Played last night (on PC) and got full bars. Couple of lag spikes, but for the most part it was great. The quality of the connection moves between 4 and 5 bars (you can check this in the score screen by 'tabbing' on PC - not sure on PS3) but I didn't notice any real difference.
Bear in mind, though, that I managed to connect to a bunch of local players. This affects the experience dramatically. If I can't connect to local players (which happens more often now that the game is a bit dated) I connect to players from all over Europe and my ping is terrible. This is the result of a lack of dedicated servers, and a better/faster product will not necessarily solve this, but it will help if you go for the super fast packages.
On Black Ops 2 and Battlefield 3 (which have locally hosted dedicated servers) my ping is usually around 20 and sometimes as low as 13, which is outstanding. Its the reason games like MW3 don't have that many players online anymore - no dedicated servers is a bust for us Saffers.
