I cant get international sites to load, except Facebook. Very peculiar.

Oh geez, up and till about 2min ago I could get everthing BUT Facebook. :wtf:

Now international speed tests work. Ya know, I need to stay away from this site. All I do is end up sounding like a idiot.

MrBeep, I have an idea for a product that you could look at working on.

A lot of companies that don't have access to fibre (like us) will most definitely want to get Telkoms new 40Mbps VDSL if available but uncapped products for this speed by nature will be very expensive in the SA market. A major thing is that most of the time you will not get the full download potential from a 40Mbps link on international sites but having that 3Mbps upload is invaluable, so my suggestion is:

Create a 40Mbps burstable uncapped product that will burst at 40Mbps for say 30 seconds and then level to 10Mbps (example). Leave the upload totally unshaped and maybe leave local connections too (?).

This product would work great for places like web development companies where there is plenty of uploading but no need for sustained 40Meg downloads.

Just a thought. I'd recommend this product for our company.

I agree, I don't need much faster downloads but badly need more upload capacity

Thank you for the suggestion.

We will take it to the marketing panel and see what they can come up with (if anything)

Hi MrBeep,

Is it possible to do an upgrade online from 6Mb Gold Uncapped Promotion to 10Mb Gold Uncapped (Orange), or what is the best way to do this. I only see the option to add another package on the portal. Also, can I expect the same type of service or will my current package out perform the Orange option over a period of time?

Thanks!

Hi Jacques

Kindly email [email protected] They will be able to assist with this

The network should now be unshaped.
