Are there currently any issues? Even local traffic is like 1/4 line speed for me and for a colleague.

I got the same issue. I've been having a slow and inconsistent connection since last night. Went to work today and was hoping to have it sorted out today. Still the same...
 
There are no general issues we are aware of currently.

We have done a quick test on all service levels and all checks out well.

May I suggest you switch off your router for no less than 20 minutes then back on and try again. If the problem persists, please email [email protected] for further investigation

Have done 54GB thus far this month, have done well over 250GB in a month before on 4Mbps Gamer King. Zero throttling ensued.

at 83GB for July on my netbook, the rest chould be another 17GB.

Not complaining, just lovin' it!!

What is the base priority on those Mega accounts if I may ask? I'm trying to compare it to my gamers king a/c - though I'd really miss the 24/7 prioritized game traffic so not so sure about this.
 
Please help me understand why I currently can only download at avg 42kB/s when I get 450kB/s and more when I connect my 3G modem. Shouldn't I at least be getting a download speed of close to 90kB/s on a 1mbps line????? :confused:

Is this because of shaping?

Could be or poor line quality etc. Have u tried speed test and after hours download.

You should get around 90 - 100kB/sec when there is no shaping applied. Run a local Speedtest and post the results here. Then do one to an international server. It's not the best way to test but will give a good indication of what's going on.

Do you have any other data accounts to test with? Maybe sign up for a free Afrihost 1GB account and see if you get similar results - it may be that there is a line issue or maybe some congestion at your exchange.

If you can do run these tests after 11pm tonight and see if there is any improvement.

Anybody else having problems with OW disconnection issues and slow speeds? I get disconnected at least 3 to 4 times a day. I have a standard 4 meg line but most days it's so slow I can't even open my gmail account. The last 2 months I've reported the problem numerous times and in some cases I had to wait upto 48 hours for a response from the support team. Their solution just give you a new username and password...

What happened to the good old days were OW responded within hours to any problem or query? Maybe it's time to start looking elsewhere....

Nope. Never had any disconnection issues with my account. Have you made sure the issue doesn't lie with the ADSL line itself?
 
So where do the Mega accounts fit in compared to your other offerings, Mr Beep? I have Gold Uncapped. Would the Mega account be higher or lower?
 
Gold Uncapped is above Mega Uncapped. Gold Uncapped has a lower contention ratio
