Throttling is when ALL protocols, including speedtest, browsing etc is slowed down.

Shaping is when selected protocols are slowed down.

We do not throttle.

Kindly PM me your ADSL username so that I can test your 'throttling' theory for myself.

just got back on IS,when i get home i will test it

mtn didnt run better,a bit slower for me,asked for a switch with my acc upgrade
streaming was crap..
but then i asked to switch back,after i did that

and later that night i can stream 720p wiht out any porbs...
but then my downloads went crap around at 11:30am stuck at 60kb/s

but with this telkom line upgrades
and the exstra load on OW

some probs will be there

just hope it all get shorted soon :)

if anybody is upgrading from a 4mb standard or silver uncapped account lemmie know. or if you got one of those 2 for 1 silver specials. need a decent account besides the glittering gold.
 
well,every one had problems
i saw post of ppl wiht gold who had bad speed

and ppl on afrihost also had bad speed

and then telkom upgrade the lines so they are also not 100%
and ow have more load on there servers now

but in genaral gamers works good
 
I have a 2mb gold uncapped and not gonna pay R650 for the 4mb equivalent.

Which will be better for solid gaming and downloading (200gb) , the 4mb everyday or 4mb gamers king?

what speed do you get on gold with 2 data and 4mb line?

Browsing is running fine this morning. Sites are loading up without errors.

Streaming is at 30kb/s.
 
Browsing is fine, but I'm not paying R738 a month for facebook and email.

http downloads at around 20KBps today. News and torrents still non-existent. Streaming unwatchable.

Mweb and Afrihost accounts running way better so it's not Telkom.

Massively disappointed so far on the 4Mbps Gold Uncapped
 
I just signed up for 4mb Gold Uncapped @ R589, as I recall quite a few recommendations. Hope it holds up to the reputation
 
Mrbeep please confirm this response from support. I asked how much to move to everyday uncapped from a 2 mb gamers king:

"You just need to advise us when.
You will pay a difference of R170.00 additional each month.

If you want to move within the month, a pro-rata value of the above will apply."

Now 295 - 226 gives you 69 I think before pro-rata. Where does the R170 Z mentioned come from?
