Second day my international is slow, reported it yesterday to support, no fix. Speed improved after 5, but this morning back to crawling speed.

Test conducted on 5/3/2013 10:09:55 AM

Download Speed: 172 kbps (21.5 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 359 kbps (44.9 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 206 ms
 
You were unfortunately on the same faulty realm that affected dharish yesterday. We have now moved you to the main realm. I do hope this resolves your problem?

mrBeep - Why not get rid of this "FAULTY" Realm altogether ?
 
This is impossible, as we have many clients on it.

It is not the realm itself that is faulty. It is quite complicated, but basically some people on certain exchanges are having issues. A very limited number of clients are affected, and Telkom are working on it

People mostly post negative feedback and never say anything positive in here so I thought I'd share some positive feedback :-).

Really happy with my Gold uncapped account and just had my first issue in 2 or 3 months where I couldn't connect to international. Quick message and MrBeep fixed it within minutes! Thank you OpenWeb for a really great product.

Yeah - I'm also very happy with my account.

i'm experiencing the same. having difficulty browsing...

yesterday morning 10kb/s. then 40kb/s and after 17.30 full speed.

today its 50kb/s.

seem like throtteling and/or serious shaping to me?

I heard last year Openweb was going to start offering line plus data bundles. Is this still happening or has it been cancelled?

Exactly the same here on the same account. Connection is very up/down during the day. One moment its 2mb next its 0.5mb. Then after hours it fly's.

I work from home a couple of days a week so I don't know if its going to work for me.

Seriously considering going to Silver and seeing how that goes.

Happens on Gold too. Why I cancelled.
 
Uncapped Standard. Even Gmail won't load. Is it normal for this account? I noticed it only now during the day, just happened to be at home.

0.14 Down / 0.39 Up

Getting strange performance on my connection too. 1 meg Gold uncapped. Got a port reset last night.
International browsing is very slow.
Did a Speedtest - local server - lightning fast.
Namesco in London - great ping, then takes ages to connect before it finally starts downloading the test file. Getting about 55k (so under half speed - 1.2 to 1.4 has been my norm on Openweb so far)

This smells like upstream issues - please let SEACOM be ok.

You claim you notified the current 4MB Gold Uncapped, UNSHAPED, Account Holders that OW is having problems with this Service.

Please could you provide me with proof of this, as i did not receive such notification.

Why did you not remove or amend the wording on your site in January till a few days ago that this Offering/Account/Service is being looked at and stop selling it, till a few days ago shortly after i made my complaints.

I have a friend who recently sign up to your 4MB Gold Uncapped, UNSHAPED Service a few days ago, i am talking about 2 or 3 days, before i lay my complaint. at the time of his perchance, there was no mention made on your OW Site of "Claimed" Account/Service Review and you where still selling the Account as i have purchased it.

You and your devoted few internal OW Friends, must please explain to me your contention ratio theory again, as contention does not start at the same time every day and stop the same time every day, i will send proof in my next post of this fact. The only thing that does start at a time and end at a time is a SHAPE. "so please stop lying to yourself and your users as it seems you are starting to believe your own lies."

As i have said, i have the proof, so here is some of it.... I am not just a troll trying to bash OW, i don't want your services anymore and I will deliver the facts to what you already know so that you can decide if you want to start delivering the Actual Service that you sell to your Customers or to tell them the truth.

Switched to an alternate account to test (Non OW) - much faster. Mr Beep, do you mind having a look into it for me please?

Terrible lag on my Gamer King account atm, same issue as last time and was given this new account, was working fine for a while but seems the problem is back again. Any network issues in Cape Town?

And as i say that it gets better :whistle:
 
I have the same, low pings but terrible lag even on IS servers, cannot open Google pages just about 0 torrent speeds.
Not a good way to start as client...
