Sure, drop me a PM I will take a look for you

Switched to an alternate account to test (Non OW) - much faster. Mr Beep, do you mind having a look into it for me please?
I sent you my username last night via PM, but will send again if you can't find it.

Thanks

I was given an Openweb account to test for 2 days. (Openweb Silver Uncapped - 1Mbps)
I only got around to testing it this morning (Remotely from work) and i must say, it runs much better than Mweb.

My first test was downloading torrents (Linux distros obviously :p). My biggest gripe with Mweb had been how severely they shape torrents, and how long they shape them for. It was not uncommon to see my torrents only downloading at full speed between 4am and 8am during weekdays.
Running the Openweb account on and off since this morning i can confirm 100% that they do NOT shape torrents anywhere near as bad as Mweb.

Max speeds were around 105Kb/s. Max speeds for Mweb was roughly 25Kb/s. (uTorrent Time Scale 5 Minutes)
Speed test gave me better results with Openweb also.

If this is what Openweb is like during peak hours then I think it will be an easy move for me to make!

This has been ongoing for them for a few weeks now.... so look at all your Tickets you have and fix them one time, clearly as you guys have said that you handout out accounts to keep the clients happy, "Turnaround Time to Clients" , you guys seem incapable of fixing your problems . . . . . . . . . please look at your own thread . . . over and over again ..... same complaints.

Out of interest how long had you been with Openweb before being cancelled?

Had amazing service over the public holiday, Keoma himself assisted me with a support call. When the CEO gets his hands dirty you must know OW is KING!

Keep up the good work MrBEEP!

Hi

I’m really having the most bizarre things happen on my 4 meg Gold acc (had it since 01/05). During the day all is well but at night my speed drops dramatically.
Anyone seen this before?

Couldn't be happier with OpenWeb.
Top service at all weird hours of the day/night and an excellent product overall. On the rare occasion that I've had a hiccup or so, the issue was always resolved on the same day -with minimal effort from my side.

Thanks for the awesomeness OpenWeb/Keoma!

@unwired, sure not a problem .. if i look at my first payment on my card... it looks like i started in the November 2012.

The thing that grabbed me and my friends was they made mention of their being no AUP on this Account, I forwarded that page at that time still to one or two people, as we have been in AUP discussions before, but sadly was not in a habit of saving outgoing private mail.

And clearly that wording is a distant memory as OW changes their Account wording to suit them in times of claims against them. so 6 months roughly . . . the first few months where great, i did not always monitor it as i did not feel that i needed to, but lately noticed that the downloads during the day times where slow/ slower .... also did not take too much notice, but when i was sitting looking at my account waiting for support to get back to me, i saw it go from 10KBs to 420KBs, that got me to react as i have had a custom Fibre account from ACCESS, I was well aware of the SHAPE Lift @ 8PM and Lock down @ 8AM . . . . .

Hey Friends,

We have picked up a series of similar issues in the Western Cape area. Engineers are working on it.

Just a heads up that if you are experiencing slow speeds in this area, it is more than likely part of the general problem.

We apologise for the inconvenience.

I just got home and noticed that international is very slow. Please keep us updated.

Just got home from work, logged on to my favourite site, checking in to my favourite thread, and to my shock horror, the mosquito is still at it!

Do you not have school? Or did they give you the week off?

If you are going to open a claim against Openweb then get on with it, we are here to get valuable feedback from clients, not disgruntled, abusing x-clients that swear at openweb staff.

CPA, APC, ANC, go and report Openweb to all of them. We get the message. You dont like being told off. But really now dude, get a life.

Most definitely affected here. Otherwise a great uncapped account! Been using the Standard /Love Edition/ LOL for a week. First time hit a snag with slow international.

He was asked a question, which he answered. And x-clients often provide the most valuable feedback of all.

I disagree.

They are the most negative.

I do not see how someone that is no longer a client can comment on the service a company provides today.
