Hey Friends,

We have picked up a series of similar issues in the Western Cape area. Engineers are working on it.

Just a heads up that if you are experiencing slow speeds in this area, it is more than likely part of the general problem.

We apologise for the inconvenience.

Definitely some issues here in Cape Town, Thanks for the feedback MrBeep, local seems fine though.
 
I disagree.

They are the most negative.

I do not see how someone that is no longer a client can comment on the service a company provides today.

So negative feedback has no purpose here? You think the purpose of a feedback thread is to comment on current line speed only? And any history of bad service is automatically wiped clean as long as your current downloads are flying?

This is not a soccer or rugby league where you cheer on your favorite side.

The real benefit of a forum like this is that people can make informed decisions about their current service provider and/or potential service providers. That's a process that includes the digestion of both positive and negative feedback, current and historic.
 
Yep, it has a purpose, but not when all you are doing is repeating the same tune over and over again.

It is really really tiresome for us people that are happy, as we try and enjoy our internet, but then we are still exposed to these x-clients that have nothing better to do with their lives than complain about once upon a time.

It is becoming quite bad, to a point where only the moaners will be left, and they will be able to sit on the stoep and moan all day about their different service providers, as they keep jumping from one to the other, and us happy people will be downloading with out brand spanking new 40Mbps accounts because we dont try and take the ring out of it with our illegal software and movie downloads.

SA still 69ms ping, 0.82mb down, 0.41 up, international 189ms ping, 0.09 down, 0.11 up. Now and then it improves

Your international latency is fantastic!

What speed account are you on?

SA still 69ms ping, 0.82mb down, 0.41 up, international 189ms ping, 0.09 down, 0.11 up. Now and then it improves

there's definately something wrong somewhere with my 2mb gamers king account. afterhours my download speed has always been 210kb/s + but its currently 150kbps after being 50kbps the whole day. not gold nor unshaped as in the ad...

You guys keep talking around the real problem, Your ISP is not up holding the Service Level of what it is selling to its customers.

Customers have the right to ask for the service they pay for, A Customer also has rights..... I ..... have merely proved a point.

Dude, please just bugger off already, you've made your point.
 
First off blankmans behavior to the OW staff was unacceptable. End of. No excuses. Cannot be tolerated. Mrbeep swung his Thor-like hammer and sorted that out. Schweeet.

Now the account. BM is not the first client to complain about that account. It's been problematic and the problems are severe enough for OW to withdraw the product. That in itself is an indication that something is amiss.

Any feedback contributes to the collective info for us the clients. For me any feedback is welcome.

During the day I don't usually see my linespeed so I'm unable to provide the running commentary provided by many in here. I was on Telkom previously (last year). No downloading from 8am to 6pm. Nothing. So whatever I get during the day is a bonus.

The rabid dog is still running. Client service has been impeccable. Looking forward to more of the same!

(1) I was open and honest about my actions and behavior, an i have openly apologized, i have accepted that. maybe i was also not handled correctly as a customer . . . . but let me let this one go.

(2) OW have made claims of notifications to Account holders.... (no proof... or proof pending.... honestly i don't think there was)

i have also not received any answers (not the smart a s answers from the devoted few) to any of my questions.

Main Question: If they knew there was problems from the time they Claim they Notified Customers, Why where they still selling it till a few days ago - would you like me to provide proof of this, as i have that as well.

Main Question 2 : Why when asked about account shape or un-shape do you get "contention ratio theory quoted at you" - ( and again not the smart a s answers from the devoted few)

(3) I have done just that, i have informed other users of how OW handle(s) its customers and that they lie to their customer, i have provided proof ..... you all can call me what you want .... the facts are what they are

I will add this to my list of questions, why did i get a PM offering me the use of a Platinum Account with a lying ISP.... - Please let me know if you want the proof of this as i have that too ....... -

OW... MrBeep .... do you offer this to any other complaining customers, to try and keep them quite ??

As nobody has read it before, i did not put it in bold so i will type it in Caps ... I DO NOT WANT AN OW ACCOUNT EVER AGAIN!!!

Clearly i have struck some sensitive nerves for OW and OW Online Staff defending their company and Boss......

What about the other Account holders at OW .... must they accept that OW is not giving them what they have signed up and paid for??

How does OW plan to rectify this for them or must they all ask for refunds .......??

Maybe with some users/customers leaving OW, there will free up some space on their over provided capacity and the devoted few can "Torrent it UP" after hours maybe .....

(as a joke .. do you want me to provide the proof for the torrents too, i don't use torrents but for making a solid point to some of the devoted few like calbe dude ..... i am more than willing to provide this as well. )

Raping my gold account this weekend, full speed 24/7 thanks OW!

I'm sure you will get a nice surprise Monday morning.
OW should sell all their accounts like this;
8AM - 5PM (throttled)
5PM - 8AM (You get what you actually paid for)

Never at home during 8 -5 PM, however the account runs at a fraction of the speed during those periods. Which is not too bad, 200 - 300 kB/s

I have cancelled my gold account though as I am moving to standard uncapped
