It is currently peak shaping times, and due to this very release, the network is quite busy.

Matters should improve after around 18:00 to 19:00

any possible ways of hosting these files for a day = people can download it fast and they not 100000 download internationally in stead it is all local traffic = faster and easier... i know with P2P this isnt easy but maybe give to engineers to try and do this as i think most of us would use this service and would mean your network isnt dying every now and then.

You wanna put the management team at OW in jail?

Terrible browsing speed  if it continues like this then I will switch back to MWEB for sure.

Same here, I was getting full speed till about 20min ago then everything just died.

I think there is an issue at OpenWeb currently.

Having moved from MWEB to OW, I would rather stay with OW as at least they let you know what is happening. MWEB would ignore you until the problem is resolved.

Here is my 8mb speed test to EU: http://www.speedtest.net/result/2749202205.png

Yeah - I bet there is a general issue with IS as I just got notification from work that there is an issue with Internet connectivity ( We work closely with IS ) - no confirmation yet though.

Hey Friends,

There was a small glitch earlier, but all should now be resolved?

Hi MrBEEP,

I know this sounds like a silly question, but do you shape p2p on the Gold Uncapped Unshaped accounts? From the way it was advertised when I applied, I understood that if I could download an http file at line speed, then I should also be able to download a well seeded torrent at the same speed (because all protocols are being treated equally). However, this does not appear to be the case. Every single torrent I've tried has been running very slowly on both my accounts for the last week now.

E.g. At this very moment I'm trying to download a torrent with 320 seeds and 5 leechers, but it's downloading at between 10-20kB/s. However, if I download that same torrent on my Afrihost business account, then it downloads at full line speed.

thanks

No, The only thing that would slow this down on an unshaped account is contention ratios.

Please PM me so that I can investigate
