post a trace to the server you're connecting too. That 2nd hop shows line is ok.

WOW. What a difference. The Free Afrihost account flies. Browsing is awesome, click on GMAIL, and it just opens.

I'm going to assume now that this is enough for me to eliminate line/exchange?

Email support and provide them with all the tests we just did.

I remember that day I signed up for this thing called 10Mbs Gamer King Account, oh those were the days......

NNTP is now getting a speedy 4Kb/s at full tilt, as well as awesomely slow browsing, yay me!

Seems every week there is an issue with my account and every week it needs to be refreshed.

Maybe just fix it once and be done with it?

Just for interest sakes, I use to get 8Mb/s on average on a speedtest not so long ago. When my account was reset just the other day i reached an amazing 800Kb/s after hours of course, maybe 100-200 during the day, yet every week my account dwindles down to the pace of a snails metabolism. It is highly unlikely a line issue as shown with the previous account reset, and no i don't care about daytime shaping, but 4Kb/s and slow browsing, lol.

@dj2381

Just tried NNTP now, also cooking at 4Kb/s. Well that's on my 4MB Uncapped Gold. The Afrihost tester I got, 416Kb/s.

:D well I'm glad to see its not only in one location.

350KBps on P2P at moment. on 4mbps gamers king (blah blah) account. still happy with it. speeds do drop from 8am - 2pm then my speeds go slowly up. My Http and FTP etc still fine. so all good by me.
