I am a MWEB "abuser" on an OpenWeb trial account. Looks really well, and very please so far. I know where I will be moving to.

I have had a report from home stating that download speed is not so lekker during the day on the Gamer's King Downloader's Bling account. I was very satisfied with the download speed last night though.

Would it be possible to take this account instead: http://openweb.co.za/gold_uncapped_special.html

This appears to be more suited to my needs.

Is the network unshaped at the moment or not ? It is now 3PM.

No it is not. It is still shaped as it is very busy. All and sundry are downloading today.

We do have a guaranteed unshape weekend coming up starting tonight at 20:00

Charmaine did a full port reset for me at 1:30ish, I turned my router off and left it for an hour, now I can't reconnect?! Any ideas?

(Bet most of the folks who wouldn't take my advice to go with OpenWeb instead of Mweb, are probably kicking themselves in the ass right about now.) :D *touches wood and hopes OpenWeb never brings in such a stupid policy*
 
Hey folks, looking at getting a 4meg Gamers King account of my 2meg silver. Can anyone comment on Youtube performance during shaped hours?

That's the account I have.. In my experience it's usually watchable but does sometimes slow to the point where you need to pause the clips to let them buffer.

I have the Gold Orange 2mb/s for R349 pm... the only things in my experience that gets heavy throttling is P2P and heavy downloading. Http downloads/streaming/browsing/Gaming is 100% as that is what I mostly do during the day anyways and never had any problems. I was also a student doing online course work so know the feeling ^^ but I get 100% on P2P from 5pm-7.30am :D

What quality are you looking at? I am currently on a lil gap and spend a lot of time on youtube these days ^^ I just let it auto control the quality and it never buffers on my 2mb/s and it usually stays between 360-480p
