OpenWeb ADSL Feedback Thread

Having major issues as well. Downloads putter along at 10kB/s (even from news.is) and even trying to use gmail stretches my patience to its limits. I don't even want to talk to support anymore cos they're surely sick of me at this point and will probably say it's Telkom because of this thread even though my latency is currently just fine.

If anyone feels like taking a closer look at the case, the number is #RQY-429-62320. Otherwise I'll just go back to Vanilla at the end of the month since Gamers King is giving me nothing extra.

Openweb, I love what you're doing, but you're ahead of your time. The infrastructure you're forced to use is just way too unreliable.

What account do you have? Coz my account is flying. I am on GOLD though.

If someone can definitively tell me this is all due to shaping and I shouldn't expect to be able to use gmail during the day, then I might consider upgrading to the point where the internet becomes usable. For now, I'm pretty sure something somewhere is broken, and there's no point upgrading to a service I wouldn't be able to use.

Kindly PM me your ADSL username and the name and surname of the registered client so that I can take a look for you

And just like that I get a new account and everything runs brilliantly. Thanks MrBEEP.

I'm more confused than ever though. What is happening to these accounts that I have to keep moving around? I think this is about the 4th account in as many months you've asked me to change to, and it makes no sense to me.

If I understood the problem maybe I would be able to resolve it myself? Or at least identify it to alert support?

Thanks again.

We have sent your original account in for investigation. I'm afraid it is too early to comment, but we have an idea what caused your issue specifically.

MrBeep,

Downloading is non existent at the moment, which is expected. But so is browsing. Takes a while to even load a page. Been like this since 11am.

I have asked the engineers to take a look, as it seems like some parts of the country are experiencing this problem.

Please stand by

Reading all these Mweb hate threads, it warms my heart knowing I'm with Openweb.
(Also because I get to laugh at all the Mweb guys)

Openweb should really do a promotion on a "Welcome X-Mweb customers!" or something like that.

No No, we don't want the swarm to degrade the service. tell them its bad Openwebers are going to Telkom or something. Let them brake Telkom

Hahaha, true true.

But on the other hand the more people on Openweb, the more money they get, the better service they can offer in the future?

Guess it all comes down to the "type" of user that joins.

This!!! Mr. Beep, are you really the OPENWEB CEO? :D If so, I hope you are taking full advantage of the crappy situation in which MWEB is losing a lot of their angry customers at the moment :D I want to see MWEB go bankrupt by the end of this year.
