This!!! Mr. Beep, are you really the OPENWEB CEO? :D If so, I hope you are taking full advantage of the crappy situation in which MWEB is losing a lot of their angry customers at the moment :D I want to see MWEB go bankrupt by the end of this year.
 
I have been bouncing emails back and forth with Leon with no change. Email, browsing, etc... all slow. On Gold 6mbps.

This is basically a norm for me and so tired of having to chat to support all the time.

At about 3 I got myself 5Gb with Afrihost to test and violla. Everything cruising again.

I will switch back to OW when the 5Gb runs out. If I find my connection degrades again tomorrow - more than likely - I am switching to Afrihost business uncapped.
 
One cannot judge an entire ISP based on one forum comment.

I'm a bit worried....is it the ISP's thats getting bad...or is it the COUNTRY? :wtf:

Sending my details too, for the last 6 week between 3pm and 6pm there is something wrong connecting to gmail. It take about 2-3 min to get into gmail, then I cannot even open a mail until I close the browser and initialize back-up account. Then everything is 100%.

Lots of peeps do not have an issue. I do however suspect these are people that are not home during office hours so don't notice the degraded performance.
Evening and weekend are great.

Unfortunately I work from home and it was a daily norm for me that my connection falls apart from midday until day end. Simple email and Web browsing becomes a frustrating experience.

Leon gave me a new account 2 months or so ago and my woes seemed to be over. Then last week it started again.

Today was the worst. Normally the degradation starts around midday. Today it was slow from 09H00 when I got into my office. I emailed support at 10H00 or so.
A few hours later I got a response asking for my line number. Why it is not available to them based on previous support history I don't know. So I send this and know more time will pass before the next response.
Eventually the next response comes saying I have done 15Gb already today so blah blah and shaping is in place as the network is busy. Completely missing the point that http and email is slow. I asked if http and email was also shaped to death but never got a response to that. Support came to an end. Almost day end and no resolve.
This is the point I decided to try another provider.

I am just tired of bouncing emails around with support. I need my connection to simply work and not create frustration for me.
Http, email, rdp, team viewer and sql server ports are essential to me to get my work done.

I honestly expected a lot more from the Gold package. They can shape download protocols to death during office hours (I throttle any downloads myself anyway) but let me get on and do my work without creating frustration for me.

I very often have issues with Google services during the day. From midday onwards normally.
Google apps, maps, etc... Almost unusable unless plenty of time to spare and just wait for them to load.

This isn't a new issue either, it has been going on for quiet a while on and off

It depends on how busy the network is at any given time, and on what contention ratio your chose product is, There are no definite values, as it changes by the minute based on current load.

Isn't gamers king standard uncapped downloading? Standard uncapped gets shaped heavily during the day. I get 10kb/s most if the day as we'll in standard.

Yes we are. Its literally "on and off" it works for 5mins then goes completely dead for a minute or so then back on. Streaming and NNTP also dead even when its on
 
Everyone doing fine? My internet gaming latency starts at 190 then goes slowly to about 275 and then disconnects me, takes about 45min. Then if you log back in it starts again at 190 and ends at 275.

When I DC I can also not brows, its like a time out thingy
