Mr Beep,

What can we expect regarding the IPC saga? Discounts? Better contention ratio's?
 
Hi F1,

We would prefer to decrease contention ratios as that is what ADSL desperately needs.

The problem is though, with only 5% increased capacity, that is not a big change

Hey MrBeep ... is there an issue currently.

I had great daytime browsing speeds (basically unshaped) and suddenly I can barely open a webpage.

On standard uncapped.

MrBeep,

I spoke to you via email before moving my account from a standard to a Gamers account, 2mb. Since I got it 4weeks ago, I have had to do a port reset 4 times, basically once a week. My patience is wearing a little thin as every time I email support I have hear that a port reset is needed or they cannot replicate the problem. That does not help me. With the standard account, I never had to do it, not even once. All other ISP accounts are running perfectly.

I have cc'd you in the support email. I am not trying to be rude, but I have been very patient and it's just getting a bit much now. My account is unusable during the day, every day.

Please can you give me a different account to use?

*groan* did the same on 2mb. This is not good news. My 'package' is performing well though. That standard uncapped ran very well.

Mrbeep, The usage graph has no history for previous months? Or am I missing the link again?

Very happy I upgraded my 4mb Standard uncapped to the Gold account. I can now browse during peak times without an issue:D
 
I am currently connected to your account and its running full speed.

I will continue using it myself to perform my daily tasks for the next 24 hours

Beep, whats the status with my acc.? Today i could hardly open facebook? Now thats shaping is over, i get max 245kb/sec on http download..?

Im unhappy with this on a 4MB acc. I can just as well then go back to 2MB line and acc, cause for heavens sake thats faster!

And no, its not telkom...afrihost works fine!

Been with u for 6+ years..but if things dont get better im moving for sure!

Edited: 10 mins later....150kb/sec...:(

It's only 5:30, shaping is still lightly applied around this time.

As for you moving back to 2Mbs, how is that faster than 245kB/s?
Don't expect full speed all day everyday on a shaped account. HTTP could also be affected by the server you are downloading from too. Why don't you share the link so we can test it out too?

Internet is mal fast tonight.

So much better than Afrihost, no offence Gian but you're 20Meg accounts suck a bit.
