Hi MrBeep,

I'm currently on the Standard Uncapped 2MB option, yet I'm on a 1MB line. The thinking at the time was that if I take the 2MB option, the torrent speeds would be higher than the 1MB option (which they are) and the 2MB option was streaming live sport with no lag. In July, the 1MB option would lag a bit and 2MB wasn't lagging which is why I went the 2MB way. Since Saturday, I've noticed that the live sport streaming lags every now and this definitely did not happen before.

Given the fact that I'm on a 1MB line, which account would be recommended if I want to stream live sport with no lag?
 
Hi Bighit,

I would suggest you upgrade your line to 2Mbps, as this will more than likely resolve the problem if there is no underlying issue.

Guys, have any of you tried setting the DMZ on your router to you computers local IP? Don't know if it is a good idea, but Youtube suddenly works much better. Maybe other protocols will be the same?

IS it a good idea to do this?

No, it's generally not a good idea to expose your entire computer like this. Unless you are strictly controlling which services are running and ports are open on the machine I would highly recommend that you do not make your PC a DMZ.

Why don't you just email support and get it reset?

But yes, if you need to cancel use [email protected] and make sure you receive an email back with a reference number within 24 hours, otherwise email support or pm MrBeep and enquire about it.
 
Damn, ok. Well Youtube is screwing around. Even having problems with 360p.
 
Torrents run full speed, but Youtube sucks! How can I fix this? I am watching Inside Nature's Giants and I am getting really annoyed.

I was on 4mb standard [Love Edition] account which I pay R299 p/m.
In the middle of August requested 2 accounts from you guys both 2mb accounts, one standard and the other gamers king and cancelling the 4mb standard.
I forgot I made that request (which was my fault) and I checked my bank statement which was for R425. Which was correct with the 2 accounts I requested.

My problem is eventhough I forgot about it. Openweb did not give me the usernames n passwords for the 2 accounts i requested in September. I emailed [email protected] yesterday about this and they gave me the 2 usernames and passwords. So the passed 18 days of this month which account was I using?! How can I get billed for something I wasnt even using. What can I do now??

Anything going on at the moment MrBeep ? Streaming is very slow over here . . . . other evenings seems to be OK
 
I'm also having a streaming problem tonight. Last night I streamed the Man United football match and it worked perfectly. Now I'm trying to stream another football match and its like watching a slideshow or is completely frozen. Come on Mr Beep, this is not what I signed up for.

Just curious, what account and line speed do you have if the streaming is lagging?
 
Something def not right at the moment . . . everything seems to have ground to a halt ( I'm on a 4Meg Silver account )

I'm on a 2mb Gamers King Account. Mweb, the b@stards that they are throttled me when I abused the line, but never came between me and my sport :twisted: I am not a happy chappy
