Thank you for the feedback :)

The slower speeds were caused by the massive demand iOS7 placed on the network.

Things seemed to have mostly cleared now.

Re: Line upgrades. We literally only heard about it yesterday. It is too early for us to comment on our plans, but naturally, we will always bring something valuable to the table.

What does it mean when an ISP resets your port? My port was reset on my Gamerking 4mb account and all is extremely well now. Why does ir need to be reset?

That brings me to the next thing, Telephonic Support is certainly a nice to have, but would add around R10 to R15 onto the cost of providing an account, as hiring staff are expensive over weekends and holidays. Is telephonic support over the weekend necessary? Should we look at introducing it and charge accordingly?

Not really. Email support's normally pretty good. Not to mention support via this forum.

Support is just fine the way it is. Telephonic support will open up a nasty can of worms. I think poor customer service through telephonic avenues is to blame for most people cancelling accounts. Save us the hairpulling and keep things as they are.

Pretty sure shaping is still being applied. Can't stream from the supersport site at all. Sport is a lost cause today...

Edit: nope this is down to my stupidity. Had another machine pulling a Linux distro and didn't realise.

Streaming is still buffering once every 30 seconds or so. No exchange congestion at the moment...

This is on my 2Mb line which has the best line stats it's had in a long time, and tested a tracert and no exchange congestion:

Post your router stats here.

They're fine. They're better than they have been. My attenuation is high but it's been that way all along. It's definitely not the line that's the issue at the moment and a tracert shows it talking perfectly to Openweb.

But I just decided to do a tracert to www.supersport.co.za and this is the result:

Tried with a second openweb account using a differnet backbone and the result is similar:

Does this indicate an issue with Supersport or perhaps Openweb not talking to Supersport properly?

EDIT: streaming is much better with the second account oddly enough which is what I've been experiencing while testing these two accounts...

FWIW, speeds have increased to 1Mb account speeds now and Supersport is working on both accounts, as long as I don't browse at the same time. Both accounts had identical speedtest results but are different packages, so perhaps it isn't a shaping issue at all?

That's weird  Is the video quality being set to HD?

Nope, the shaping policy has been switched off today :D

No never had a problem with the way it's working now.
