We'll resolve the problem, that is a guarantee.

I'll accept that argument for now. But should it continue then there needs to be a rethink of your pricing model as this is severely affecting even gold accounts. Earlier when my torrents were achieving a whopping 5kB/s, my browsing was almost impossible.

Still an Openweb fan, but I prefer constructive criticism over pandering to sensibilities...

I agree, even though I cannot relate having a gold account. So yes, we are all getting shafted by Telkom. But we/you knew that when you were offering a gold account to DJ? It's not exactly a surprise. I personally feel that since the Mweb users have come on board, we have seen a huge reduction in service levels. I could be wrong though.

At the same time, my browsing is fine, downloads aren't working, but Im not paying for an account that is supposed to download during the day, so Im not expecting it. If I had a Gold account, my thoughts would be very different though.

Browsing should not be affected either. We have the top guys working on this issue currently.

During shaping times. But this is normal http traffic - how is this not throttling then? If I'm being speed limited across all protocols, what's the difference between shaping and throttling?

We are not speed limiting across all protocols. We have our priorities set, which seems to be faulty. This is what we are focusing on currently.

Also, I think we all know OW has had a bad week this week. They are working hard at it so we should be patient as well.

This week has been a bad week, there is no doubt about it.

However, I will not accept this level of service as the norm. We will do anything and everything in our power to resolve it.

One more thing. MrBEEP, could you please alert the support team about the current issue as they seem unaware that something is wrong in the shaping system.

Fair play - I'm happy that you're admitting that there is an issue and it's being worked on.

Oh, the other thing is, can't you have a better/more detailed indication on your website with regards to the network status. Firstly, Im colour blind, so I can never see the damn colour it's on, and secondly, if you have a red status with a one liner e.g" IOS Update, shaping applied" we would know what's happening. Or even just have an new icon showing the network is shaped or unshaped.

I agree. This is something the developer guys are attending to currently.

Great stuff. That attitude, great customer service and transparency is why I will continue to recommend Openweb to my friends and family...

Yes agreed.. things break, and i can live with that as long as the service provider acknowledges the problem and is looking to fix it.

Good to know, thanks.

I must admit the daytime shaping has been driving me nuts , but the communication from you Beep and admitting there is an Issue makes such a huge difference in my opinion.

Nobody wants the typical Mweb guy response that sounds like it was written by a politician , an honest and real feedback really helps to put all the qualms to rest .
