As per my invitation last week, kindly PM me with details so that we can investigate.

I have tested 3 x Vanilla Uncapped accounts on Google services using 3 x different ADSL lines across the country and it works fine. Thus, I need to be able to recreate your issue.

Google services virtually non existent, can this please be addressed?

Just a quick update MrBEEP

Gmail and Google problems seem to have been resolved, for me at least. I tested it this after 8 and it's been working flawlessly. Will update if anything changes.

I am glad to hear that!

Details: As per past few pages of this thread where several users have reported the same issues, Google services are suffering during the day. International browsing is also quite slow at times, even MyBroadband. POP/IMAP email is also often slow, taking time to simply load a text email. Emails with attachments, too, take long at times. About the Google services issue, in my case, email struggles to load or does not load at all. Lots of 'Loading'/'Sending'/'Still working' messages on Gmail.com when simply sending an email or loading inbox. It's not always, but seems to be for the most part of the day for me.

Speedtest results are usually good:

Been flying for the last week, even during office hours. Must admit, I've been bad and left torrents on during the week last week and they ran around 60kB/s during the day which is the same as the IS news server. Afterhours and weekend maxed out. 4meg gold.

Very happy here

Please see last PM chain from me, my account details are there - the one you tested just last week.

Could you please expand on why you think this is line related?

It's not a line issue, all other accounts work perfectly. Certainly not congestion as per the trace route. Here's my exchange if that helps - http://broadbandstats.co.za/exchange/WWG+.

Due to the volume of PM's received, PM's are deleted after a few days.

Please send me the requested info.

I have not yet diagnosed the problem, but I require all the information in order to analyze the issue.

Hi Guys
I have also been having some funny speed issues with my account. My latency stays at about 175ms(to London) which is great but my speed jump all over the place on my 4meg Gamers Bling Uncapped

Also how are you to find your usage because I can't see a usage meter on the CP at OpenWeb. I must say that my experience with Open Web has been great and I moved from Afritoast about 2 years ago.

So quite happy with them...!

That are not normal them. Contact support.

OpenWeb has changed the way that they do traffic in the daytime. If you download, your connection is basically shaped/throttled until you stop downloading. The thing is, just queue your downloads to download after hours, then you won't have this issue. It was bound to happen sooner or later, as basically all other ISPs also limit downloads in office hours as well.

I don't think that everyone is particularly concerned about daytime speeds. I don't think anyone seriously expects their downloads to fly during the daytime hours.

The issue for me is after hours. For the last day or 2 my p2p traffic on my 2meg Gold account is just about dead (this is after 10:00 PM).

Kindly PM me with your details so that I can take a look.
