MrBEEP, the problem persist, won't connect at all after even a hard router reset, Cybersmart account works like a charm....
 
Mweb works, very slow. Afrihost works, very slow too. Webafrica is dead. And Openweb is dead too. Looks like I have to call telkom again and get my fourth reference number. Getting Internet in this country is like trying to find a woman's G-spot.

Try tracert google.co.za in cmd and post results here
 
The test account I was given connects but very slow for p2p and video streaming. Therefore, this proves it was my account which has an issue. However, I would like my IS account as this account doesn't work the way it should.
 
Neither of my openweb accounts is dialing up, I get no connection, no IP etc.
FNB connect account works no problems, anyone else having this issue?

have u tried a different router? or consulting with telkom?

unlikely an account issue. dont look like others are having this issue.

Surfing speed fine, but download speed almost non-existing. Getting 13kb/s on nvidia driver. torrents about the same. Definitely something wrong
 
I'm pretty sure that there is a general IS related issue preventing an account connection.
 
We have logged a ticket with our senior engineers regarding this, but we have only seen a few isolated instances.

Because My Cybersmart account connects every time and the OW MTN backbone account also works, hence the deduction. MrBEEP I'm glad that you guys logged a ticket and that I'm not the only one because I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with Telkom or the exchange.
 
Woke up this morning turned on the router and everything was working fine, low ping and fast speeds, this was about 30 minutes ago, now it looks like this:

My Internet is dead again. Wish I knew what's going on and who to blame. Going to find another router today to see if that could be the problem.

As a side note, can anyone tell me what the difference is between freedom capped and gold capped is?

Edit: I can connect with mweb but not openweb???

@MrBeep,

Streaming was great again last night, full HD at around 5pm with no buffering at all, then went out and when I got home at arounr 9pm wanted to put an episode of Simpsons on and it was Low quality, buffering and ads where skipping terribly so it looks like it is starting again....
