I maintain, this is a Telkom fault.

is it possable
to use 1 account on 2 lines

like at night when i am at home

but in the day i use it at work
so i dont need to have a exstra data just for the work's internet

All uncapped accounts have a max of 1 ADSL Line attached

I can connect to the internet with mweb but not with Openweb, is that a telkom problem too?


I just got off the phone with telkom and all they can tell me is sometime soon they will sort it out.
 
Openweb account has generally been craaawwwling. Tried downloading a file from zippyshare now and it's going at 10kb/s. Bought an Axxess prepaid account and cruising over 100kb/s on 1 mbps account.

good,so when i leave for work i should turn of the router at home
and when go home turn off the router at work?

i think the connection at my work runs of 1line but thers r more than one data acc

it run in brige mode so not sure it will work like that

OpenWeb seems so broken, it takes over 2-3 minutes to open a website. Crazy. So much for a 2Mb Gold Uncapped account. I agree, I took a 1GB free account from Afrihost, running at full speed. What's up?

to those having slow speeds ,what is ur account? @openweb.co.za (IS), @mynetwork.co.za (mtn), @openweb.adsl or something (mtn)??

u will be given mtn first because there the cheapest and more profitable and improve at night when ur at work in the day. IS accounts is better quality over all.

That's rather odd but it does indicate something is off at your exchange. Looks like the IS routing is buggered.
 
The IPC is not congested currently.

If it was congested, folks would be highly shaped during off peak periods as well.

IS monitors the network very closely to prevent congestion.

Will send now. As a side note, my friend in my road also has an Openweb account (Gold I think) and seems to get the same bad speeds during the day.
