why do speedtests remain positive if they arent prioritized?

I think it has gotten to a point where I will just tell people do not touch openweb with a stick
Friend on silver can steam youtube, he says loading pages are instant. :wtf:
I am sitting here with the openweb gold orange premium and I can not even LOAD youtube. This whole wait for the weekend would have been ok with me if i was on a weekend only package? but unfortunately I need to use the account NOW and it being dead is only causing me to get angry.
So i am paying much more so OTHER people can stream a funeral and torrent files, I think it is only fair openweb either fix this or refund us our payment. There is a difference between getting shaped to 1/2 of line speed and then there is SHAPED COMPLETELY AND UTTERLY DEAD.
this is beginning to prove that there is little OR NO difference between accounts , just that some becomes unshaped at 5pm, some at 7pm, some at 9pm ect.
and that all the different accs is just marketing and being sold to sheep blinded by frustration at telkom and SA.
and that we whos paying more is just subsidizing the network and for the users on the cheap accs who get the same performance as we who pay more!
its time WE THE PEOPLE starts speaking. we call on to OPENWEB to PROVE the difference in accs to prove to US PAYING CUSTOMERS what difference we paying for!

The stupid is depressing.
So if you own a BMW and it breaks and another guy's Tata doesn't, then BMW's and Tata's must be the same quality car and there must be some nefarious backdrop to it all. Does that sound logical to you people?

your logic is flawed, the better analogy will be a bmw 1.6 vs a bmw 1.8 where the 1.8 also has right of way before the 1.6 because the user PAID for it. now the 1.6 is driving because the people that are supposed to regulate it don't know what they are doing and the people who paid for it are left without transportation.
The whole point of the premium system is just that, I paid for gold give me gold service. They paid for silver i should get better performance than they do.
Don't fool yourself. You have NO IDEA why your account isn't working and mine is. You are guessing at what is happening and then getting riled up by that straw man.
Openweb has NOTHING to gain in screwing you over and letting me have a nice connection and everything to gain in providing the level of service that is paid for.
The FAR more likely situation is that you are just one of a few people across all the different packages that might be experiencing problems for whatever reason. There is no logical basis for assuming convoluted machinations behind the scene.
I can seriously understand your frustration, but this smear campaign based on an imagined premise isn't doing anyone any good.
yeah that is why leon at openweb support told me i was shaped when i emailed them about it but my friend on silver is flying. My account must be broken, basically it is like telling me to "live with it"
I must be fooling myself. 2 meg account, getting 5KB/s and yeah that is essentially what they said was NORMAL shaping for http.

I've been with openweb for a few months now and I have had 4 separate issues so far. I have had to wait ten minutes for this page to load so I can post this message. I have the Gold Leon Edition, Which is supposed to be the best before platinum. Now I have no internet during the day since yesterday, is this what R589 gets me? Seems like a gold Leon account with it's "excellent contention ratio" doesn't make any difference. This is nonsense, I do not care if kids are on holiday, that is no reason for me to receive such disgusting quality of service. Mr. BEEP please pm me so we can sort this out for the last time.

this weekend/yesterday was fine for me on my gamers king 4mbps
i can stream 720wiht out a prob
atm torrents run at 150kb/s
and last night i donwloaded some stuff
and i avg 1.3gb per hour
i am happy with openweb

You have a cheaper account than me yet I have unusable internet during the day because school children are on holiday. I think I should investigate this further because now I am really starting to lose my temper.

News just in. A Telkom cable break has caused major speed issues since 15:00 today.
Unfortunately it was only reported to us much later.
Some clients in some regions will be severly affected.
