/hate email spam so leaving a tab open is far easier & convenient for me ;).

MrBEEP I am to scared to upgrade for a higher speed because I do not want to lose my current login because it is flying fast even during the afternoon when I am on night shift! :D If I ask for a upgrade can I request to keep my current credentials? :P

Mybroadband speedtest on local is up to shyte.
Last Chance for Openweb... Rather go back to MWEB and then just make sure I don't hit the CAP!
 
So I'm not alone. Thought my exchange was having one of its scheduled brain farts again. But it seems I'm experiencing the same issues as you. Did it start on the 1st of this month for you.

The problem isn't constant though. Experienced it once last week, for about 45 minutes and thereafter it was fine. Last night it felt shaped round about 30 minutes and then full speed. I didn't change a thing (e.g. router reset).

@MrBeep, because it's so erratic and the window so small, I'll monitor it myself for now. I'll contact support as soon as the frequency and duration increases.

So how is everything in internet land? It is day nine of no internet and I am still waiting for Telkom.
 
Well my upgrade is going through with no change to my username & password. :D I am now going to be rocking on 4MB Leon Gold package, thanks MrBEEP! :D
 
Hi Mr Beep. Can you please see why my data keeps dropping (not my line) the internet light on the router goes off and comes back on or goes off and never comes back on until i reboot the router, it started this morning. Also is it possible to change my account from @mynetwork to @openweb so i can use hotspots.

Upload Speed: 535 kbps (66.9 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 27 ms

This is how long it has taken me to get here to post, I feel like I'm wasting my time here, I just get given a new username every time there is a problem but then a few days later the same problem continues, I cannot access my online banking thanks to the severe shaping, you might as well call it throttling that takes place, why can I not browse? as for calling this a gamers king account, not very useful when you cannot connect to steam........it boggles my mind, when I 1st got this account it was working like a dream, its just a downward spiral right now, almost every week I get home and try browse the net and there is literally nothing going on.

Yea same dude my 4meg is useless in the day I cannot even stream
 
Not sure if this is the right thread to post , but I signed up for their Titan 10mb uncapped offer last night. Opted to pay via debit order and successfully completed the registration.
then when logging into their site , I get a notice that EFT proof of payment required...very confused since I had given my debit details.
Then its taken most of the day but via email they have been asking me to provide my credit card details...not one phone call from their support its all been on email.
I have even asked if they had a phone number to their admin department , to which i got a we dont have a number response... even the technical support number consultants wont give out their admin contact number.If not resolved today I will try another ISP...if they dont want my business I will go elsewhere.
Very frustrating.
 
Also trying to get my account upgraded today, signed up this morning and still waiting...
 
well I recieved one call from a guy at Openweb to confirm my bank details and he said he would call back and give me login details to use but he never did call back.
Its been an entire day of emails back and forth...and their call centre is now closed. Mailed them now to just cancel the whole thing. Not much better than telkom.
 
MrBeep, have you guys changed the priority of Twitch on your end?

It will be using the full speed of my connect (440KB) while watching at source quality, but then after a while will not go higher the 100KB, as such killing the stream, even at lower quality settings.

And no amount of resets or reloading helps. It stays like this for a few hours.

Is the router sitting flat or upright? Overheating could be an issue. I had similar on a Billion once.

Second alternative, could be that type of router .. I had a Belkin, and had intermittent connectivity. After blowing off at Telkom and the ISP, a Telkom techie suggested I get a different type of router. I thought he was a nutter ... but I returned it to Game, and got a Netgear from Incredible .... Problem solved. ;)

You may want to turn off UPnP ... I know this is a long shot, but is a good safety tip anyway ... better than Plug and Pray:D

Look, with the Game thing - you have 21 days to return goods, so why not try a D Link or Netgear, or borrow a mates router and see if this makes a difference?
