MrBEEP

2 mb gold power
This is what im experiencing 10 pm last night speed test 212 KB/s local and int. did not see any problem on tracert but anything I downloaded did not get more than 70 KB/s but at 1 am this morning jumped to avg of 212 KB/s. So basically I get 5 hours of full line speed a day. :(

Is this dynamic shaping is this normal ? Had 2 port resets already.

Hi MrBeep, yes noticed browsing is better now but also noticed that my ladies financial charts seem to be taken as a download and could be kicking off the speed penalties. Unfortunately, she needs the charts. Have sent a cancellation through, your afterhours is perfect but unfortunately, need the charts for the day and ability to browse with them. Perhaps at a later stage we'll come back and have two accounts, one else where and the other (yours) for afterhours. Thanks.
Regards
Brad

I were also shaped to less than half last night as well. the last time this happened was with the mweb exodus. this must be the Telkom exodus. didn't get any better till more capacity was bought. looks like all the ISP's are messed up with all the new subscribers.

Openweb is terrible. Telkom informed me that my ADSL line is absolutely OK. My Openweb account's buggy as hell. I couldn't fap continuously to a HD video at all last week. No cents from me ever again.

Besides the obvious troll post, Telkom will never admit to it being their line, even with undeniable proof.

You have two posts on the forum for today, one stating that you are getting terrible speeds from another ISP and one stating that OW is terrible. So in other words two ISPs suck but your line is "absolutely OK"??? Your line is the only common denominator here IMHO.

Have you contacted MrBEEP?

I sometimes browse the AH forum and yes it doesn't look any better there they too are struggling with the current bandwidth demands.

Today, I am pleasantly surprised. The first time this week that I have had acceptable speed during work hours on my 10MBS Gold (Power) package.

Hi scrappy,

I have invited you twice to PM me with your details, but to date I have not yet received a PM

I'm afraid we cannot investigate your issue unless you provide us with your details

He is just trolling. On another thread he said he couldn't download Thor because his line was too slow.

I subscribe to all the isp threads. one quickly gets a view to whether is just ow or everybody else. all I will say is that a certain thread is stinking up the place. those users are grabbing bandwidth here now I suspect.

This weekend is a difficult one, as we expect things to be quite busy.

We will however strive to offer unshaped as much as possible.

Any word on the official shaping status for the weekend MrBEEP? :)

Cool, thanks for the heads up! Out of interest, what sort of busy traffic is expected this weekend?
