Getting slow download speeds over here too. Like 6kb/s :(

Will report back in the morning to see if it's better by then.

EDIT: Tried another account and seems like a Telkom problem :(

Telkom has blamed my ISP 9/10 times and 9/9 times they were at fault. If you have issues get a quick prepaid account somewhere else(if you are on the IS backbone ie Openweb get a mweb/webafrica account) and do the same tests
Oh yeah definitely. ISP blames Telkom & Telkom blames ISP. That is par for the course.

My comment was aimed more at the accusations. i.e. I think its unfair telling a rep its their fault when you don't really know.

But yeah, when I talk to Telkom the first thing I do is list all the ISP accounts I tried (~3-4). That usually shuts up their "blame the ISP" bullsht.

Hi everyone I need to kill my afrihost account today, can anyone tell me the difference in terms of shaping between the gamers delight and standard uncapped package?

I just signed up for the Gamers Delight package, and got all my e-mails with log in details etc, but i can't log in to my CP, keeps saying user/password error, does it take a while to activate or something? Cause this is a tad irritating???

Also the offer details say billed pro-rata for the rest of november, but i got invoiced the full amount?

Also the offer details say billed pro-rata for the rest of november, but i got invoiced the full amount?

I got the same invoice when I signed up, but the debit order that come off a few days after was for the pro-rata amount. Guess their invoice system can't handle pro-rata invoices.

Ok great thanks for that, did it take a while for you to be able to log in? Like only after they took the cash or something?

As far as I recall, I could login to the CP right away and the details worked in my router. I had a previous account with Openweb; not sure if that made a difference at all.

Oh ok cool, i just spoke to support and he said something was dodge with the user creation process or something, so he'll re do it and i must try again at about 1pm. So hopefully that works :)

how is the download speed in the day? "After Hours times" i want to know how it is when its not "After Hours times" and how youtube is in office houres

Those are bundled ADSL packages, which I assume means line + data account. Openweb doesn't do ADSL lines yet.

I believe MrBEEP dropped some clues that OpenWeb might offer it soon. (I speak under correction, of course, but that was the impression I got. [Can't remember if it was earlier in this thread or in another thread.])
 
Hey Friends,

We are having a small issue with our CP login for new clients. The welcome email is sending the incorrect password. Developers are working on the issue. This is after a security upgrade yesterday.

If you would like immediate access, and cannot login, kindly email [email protected] and they will perform a manual fix.
