To all internet users... OW is by far the best ISP.. I never have wanted to pay for internet i cannot use till now. LOL

Gamers Delight and Gold Uncapped are the best packages to grace South Africa :D

Happy new year to the Director and staff at OpenWeb. May this year be as successful (and even more so) as last year was!
 
Was flying a bit this festive season and used my OW vanilla uncapped account @ CPT international and OR Tambo, worked like a charm :-) still happy with OW.
 
Also very happy with my Openweb account! No issues whatsoever except every now and then "Authentication failure" happens but the link goes up eventually.
 
I can't say I've run into much problems either so far and on my vanilla account, shaping has so far appeared to be a myth :)
 
I can't complain about the performance and the price is absolutely unbeatable (I'm on the R108 vanilla package) but I'm a little baffled as to why accounts sometimes just seem to stop working. Happened to me again just under 3 hours ago; I called them up straight away but I'm still waiting for a call back.

I respect MrBeep for always personally responding to complaints here and am not trying to escalate this (as long as it doesn't take much longer). I just really wish this would stop happening, or that it can be dealt with in a timelier fashion when it does.

If I have to buy prepaid from another ISP every month or two to mitigate my Openweb account quitting on me, it will still be cheaper than getting an uncapped account somewhere else, but the latter would be less annoyance.

I'd recommend their online support ticket system - at least there's always a data trail and they get back to you pretty quick. I usually post via the matercp web panel as I have little faith in their email system (from past experience) but you can email [email protected] too.

I had my vanilla account changed 3 times the first month I got it, but since then my latest account has been good (2 months now) *touches wood*

Not yet. I'm in touch with Leoni who has given me a temporary/test account, to isolate the problem I guess, so I'm fine for now.

Like I said, not looking to escalate right now, this is just a general plea. I'm sure there are good reason for accounts to suddenly stop working, it just seems from my (and I'm sure some of your other customers here's) point of view, like a bit of a weird and silly problem that should have been solved by now.

Thanks for checking in though. :) I still love you guys. Will post again when this is solved to let you know.
