Openweb uncapped ADSL feedback

which of the backbones has reasonable nntp speed during the day?
 
My line was switched from DSL-H back to IS and it was basically dead today. Was running well after the switch up until today
 
having some major issues on DSL H this afternoon, timeouts, slow etc.
 
@DSL-H users... I see WA had some annoying issues last night and the night before... probably what you're experiencing.

Hell no.

Yeah WA have always been very stable but it's this last two months that their network has been having these.... niggles....

Oddly enough over the last few days (before this issue) my line has been quite remarkable.. even uploading to dropbox has been flawless (usually 20kb/s) and being able max out my line quite easily (except Youtube, of course)

Either WA have done some nice things or Telkom have finally started upgrading my exchange/lines.. although my money is on WA.

I'm leaving OW soon though, I'm going to give Mweb a go, then WA. No longer see the benefit of R730pm other than the switchable backbone feature OW has.
 
Anyone elses DSL heaven unable to load locally hosted SSL sites this morning? Particularly the banks..
 
FNB works for us at work (also DSL-H) thank god, or I'd be getting non stop phone calls in about an hour...
 
fnb, absa, capitec.. none work on ssl, the non-ssl sites work but of course that doesnt help for much
 
Slow as f though, I know from being a past WA customer that HTTPS seems to be their achilles heel for some reason.. hope it sorts out soon.
 
My IS is basically dead...been problematic for a while now. They did a port reset which seemed to open it up again, but it appears if the line is heavily throttled during business hours. Will wait and see what they say, mailed them nearly an hour ago

My IS account (Gold) is weird today. Speeds are looking like a sinusoidal wave....
