DSL-H still only giving me:
1893949599.png

Http still running around 50kb/s, nntp have shot up to 55kb/s.
Steam is going at 63kb/s.

Tried the router reset again but nothing.

I'm also having this exact issue on DSL-H. What I can't understand is that "shaped" torrents are downloading at 70-80kb/s constantly while http is running at 50kb/s or less.

There are currently no general issues on any of the networks we sell.

I would suggest you contact Telkom on 10210 and have them test your line.

I logged on to a 1Mbps DSLheaven account as a test, and it is running full speed (1.1Mbps) on a torrent as we speak.

If you would like to further troubleshoot, please re-open your ticket with support.

Yes. Was moved over to the IS backbone which was even worse (around 15kb/s max on http), then moved back to DSL-H. This is on the Gold uncapped 1mbps account by the way.

Afrihost free 1gb account was running at 100-106kb/s yesterday afternoon I tested, so I don't think it is a Telkom issue. Will try support again.

Good luck, got the same reply and my Afrihost 1gb also ran fine yesterday.
Will check tonight again when I get home, but don't think the Telkom tech will find anything wrong with my line.

If your problem persists, please email [email protected] to further troubleshoot.

You can also request a network change.

How will the recent Telkom price cuts and speed upgrades affect us Openweb users?

OpenWeb has slashed the pricing of its top selling packages to fall in line with the Telkom IPC price drop.

The following packages will receive the price discount:

1Mbps Lite Uncapped now costs R191, old price - R299
1Mbps Standard Uncapped costs R229, old price - R359
1Mbps Silver Uncapped now costs R279, old price - R329
1Mbps Gold Uncapped now costs R329, old price - R398
1Mbps Platinum Uncapped now costs - R789, old price, R979

384k Gold Uncapped now costs R299, old price - R318

New OpenWebbers will be able to take advantage of the pricing with immediate effect. Current clients will have their price reduced from 1 May 2012 automatically!

We would like to thank you for your loyal support!

Eh, I'm paying R258 for my 384 Gold anyways. :P

I'm more wondering speed-wise though. Whether us 384ers will see an increase or whether our accounts will continue chugging along at 384 speeds?

I'm on a "special" package and already pay the price quoted above. Are there any advantages to upgrading to a "normal" package?

E.g. From "special" Standard Uncapped to "normal" Standard Uncapped.

Nice!!!!

Consumer is getting hammered left, right and centre so internet price reductions are most welcome!!!!

Very nice!!!!

How do I go about canceling one of those special, "limited to 100 users" offers that Keoma was dishing out between October and December last year? Unfortunately I now need the money to cover increased monthly chronic medication expenses.

I did contact OpenWeb via email in February to ask them how to do it, and sent them the information I asked for, but come April, the debit order for R229 was still taken out of my account. I checked the account, and saw that it was still active.

I contacted Openweb about this again during the recent long weekend, but have not received any response.

Would someone from OpenWeb please advise me as to the right procedure to follow?

Thank you.

From my cancellation email in February:
To confirm the cancellation, and for your cancellation reference number,
please email your request to [email protected]

My VB account has degraded again. It barely ever loads pics hosted on international servers and browsing international pages take forever. If this doesn't improve once the new Telkom line upgrades are in place, I'm cancelling my account and moving to Mweb.

Anyone having any issues again on DSL-H? Just got home logged into wow and sitting on 2k latency no one else on the network and nothing downloading.
