DSL-H still only giving me:
![]()
Http still running around 50kb/s, nntp have shot up to 55kb/s.
Steam is going at 63kb/s.
Tried the router reset again but nothing.
I'm also having this exact issue on DSL-H. What I can't understand is that "shaped" torrents are downloading at 70-80kb/s constantly while http is running at 50kb/s or less.![]()
Have you emailed [email protected] ?
Yes. Was moved over to the IS backbone which was even worse (around 15kb/s max on http), then moved back to DSL-H. This is on the Gold uncapped 1mbps account by the way.
There are currently no general issues on any of the networks we sell.
I would suggest you contact Telkom on 10210 and have them test your line.
I logged on to a 1Mbps DSLheaven account as a test, and it is running full speed (1.1Mbps) on a torrent as we speak.
If you would like to further troubleshoot, please re-open your ticket with support.
Afrihost free 1gb account was running at 100-106kb/s yesterday afternoon I tested, so I don't think it is a Telkom issue. Will try support again.
Good luck, got the same reply and my Afrihost 1gb also ran fine yesterday.
Will check tonight again when I get home, but don't think the Telkom tech will find anything wrong with my line.
How will the recent Telkom price cuts and speed upgrades affect us Openweb users?
OpenWeb has slashed the pricing of its top selling packages to fall in line with the Telkom IPC price drop.
The following packages will receive the price discount:

1Mbps Silver Uncapped now costs R279, old price - R329

1Mbps Platinum Uncapped now costs - R789, old price, R979

How do I go about canceling one of those special, "limited to 100 users" offers that Keoma was dishing out between October and December last year? Unfortunately I now need the money to cover increased monthly chronic medication expenses.
I did contact OpenWeb via email in February to ask them how to do it, and sent them the information I asked for, but come April, the debit order for R229 was still taken out of my account. I checked the account, and saw that it was still active.
I contacted Openweb about this again during the recent long weekend, but have not received any response.
Would someone from OpenWeb please advise me as to the right procedure to follow?
Thank you.
