I know I've mentioned this before - but on my side - torrents kill VB - I go from 300+ on newsgroups to 20KB/s - and my browsing comes to a standstill.

I'm pretty sure we've tried everything under the sun by now
Port has been reset, accounts have been changed, DNS has been flushed, DNS servers have been changed, modem has been rebooted. It goes up and it goes down. I'd be using Afrihost now if international weren't all but dead.
I'm unwilling to use IS Gold because Skype is pretty much rubbish on it, and the times when VB is good, it's great. So I don't really believe there's anything you can do, I'm mostly just complaining about VB being a pain for me as per usual.
I appreciate your assistance as always, Keoma, my complaints aren't directed at you

But I don't torrent. Maybe XFire's P2P gets considered a torrent *shrug* I don't know. I don't use news servers, I don't torrent. According to Networx I've only used 37GB this month. I'm not exactly a heavy user

But just to answer and clarify: yeah, problems are purely with VB. Afrihost, WebAfrica, SAIX, etc all fly at line-speed.
Email me, and we can try a totally different network.

Well, my thoughts are that it might be a routing issue of some sort considering I'm in Knysna at the moment. But I still don't get why basically every other account works ideally but VB... not so much.

MrBEEP has put me onto another network and so far so good. I don't know anything about this network but Skype is smooth as silk so far and line-speed is ideal so I'm not complaining.
Will see how it goes from here.

This is a great network for you if you not using news servers. Switched over there temporarily also, speeds are great but then one day my astraweb just died completely. http speeds were great though, didn't try any p2p.
I'm sure you will be very happy
