Orange Store delivery time

Yep, it seems you need to add 3-4 days to their estimates.

Looks like i'm lucky, i didn't get DHL, i got FedEx , they seem relatively on the ball, they emailed me waybill and all the details to track the package on their website the moment Orange changed their status to "Shipping" .
 
Sweet! Received my tablet today after an 8 day wait :)
 
Received my Z2 after 3days since I placed the order :)
DHL shipped, tracking info originated from London so definitely not local stock

I have been doing a lot of work on improving the DHL clearing and customer contact process.

I really would like to know if you got email, SMS and phone call quickly and if you were happy with the service. No delays etc

Hi Shayd

I received no calls or smses of the sort, but extremely happy nevertheless.. delivery was quick!

Didn't ask me jack. Placed order via site, got delivery six working days later. Maybe I got lucky but I will use them again.

Thanks blaai. My understanding is that they need your ID number to clear it. Have you shipped with DHL before? I know they sometimes keep details on record.

Strange. SARS needs a shipper of record to clear. I really hope they aren't bypassing this regulation or they are gonna get burned bad.

Not that I can remember no, my package was left at my work's reception, they did not request any personal info. I would assume the Orange store sorted all of that :)
 
Wow, Ive given up calling their landline. I'm going to have egg in my face should this store not deliver the goods (CatB15Q).
I thought I was alone.
 
My order status has been Expected 2 days since Monday. Apparently they ordered the goods from UK on 25th July already, so still awaiting delivery in SA. This is really frustrating.
 
hey Guys

I have read through the forums and there seems to be a divide between people, some pro-orange others anti-orange. (Not to mention complaint sites like hellopeter.com thrashing orange service). I am thinking of buying something through them, is it a good idea?

also, as I am a student in a hostel I dont have a fixed address for them to deliver it to. Can you have them deliver the parcel to another courier company branch (i.e DHL Capte town- Postnet Pretoria) and receive it at the postnet?
