OS X Yosemite - Developer Preview 3

I actually think Apple uses Azure cloud services these days and not Akamai.

At least for iCloud they do, so I would imagine for the rest as well.

Haha, so help a noob. How? :P

Run the installer from a working Mac, when it asks about hard drives there is a button (cant remember what it says) select that and then select the external drive you want to install on to. And it will install as usual.

Does it have to be a clean drive or partition?

Upgraded from Maverick and no issues. VMware Fusion also works. Most of the 'menu bar' apps don't fit in - ie Evernote, istats etc.

I suppose it will take some time to get used to the new iTunes and the flat look.

The new iTunes I think is far better, also iTunes Match seems to be working better for me.

Aw shoot. Running Parallels 8 - dodged upgrading with Mavericks, but will probably have to bite the bullet on Yosemite...

Definitely wait though, won't be surprised if a Parallels 10 gets released in September for Yosemite.
