OT: ANC Elective Conference

Voting will only start tomorrow.

I'm fearing that JZ is pulling some strings to ensure somehow NDZ's election...

Just in: The ANC has announced that voting for the top six will only start tomorrow. No explanation has been given for delay. #ANC54

Yeah she’ll most likely win, through fraud or rigging. Good bye whatever is left of the economy.

Voting started just after midnight. The delay was something to do with a last minute court order.

According to their tweets, Jackson Mthembu and Zizi Kodwa voted for Cyril and fikile Mabalula voted for NDZ

And on the back of that; voting was not delayed. The ANC rescinded that decision.

Day Three, Monday, 18 December 17 schedule:

1. PBF business breakfast with Minister Lindiwe Zulu, Small Business Development at 07:00

2. Organizational Report by the Secretary General Comrade Gwede Mantashe at 10:00

3. The Financial Report by the Treasurer General Comrade Zwelli Mkhize (TBC)

4. Announcements of the Results of the Officials at Plenary and Nomination of Additional NEC Members. Open session. (TBC)

Lots of rumors flying around on Twitter as to why the vote was originally post-poned at 23:30 until today, only to start an hour later.

Unfortunately a lot of people are drawing conclusion that it means foul play. Especially comparing that Zuma likes to make nation shattering moves in the night.

Was there any reports of corruption or bribes over the weekend? Other than being delayed and the nominations bringing surprises, and bad speeches, and Zuma surprises, and more delays, everything seemed relatively above board?

Or they've just gotten a lot more sophisticated with the way they'll rig the votes. We will never know really, but you can be sure that NDZ will try to clutch onto the gravy train like her ex.

Saw a timeslive headline now Cyril had been selected. True?

Only a few ANC NEC members admitting via social media that bribes had been paid, and attempts were made to rig votes at past elective conferences. Nothing about this one yet.

Votes are still being counted, AFAIK.

TimesLive released that article Saturday evening IIRC. Way ahead of time, just like ANN7
