Good day

So I used Outlook 2007..

And then download all my emails from my gmail account...

But I changed to 2010.. Now it's just an online program.. Like it just checks the gmail..

But I want it to download the actual email..

But I dont' know how to change it now.. Because I recently formatted my computer..

If someone can help me..
Thanks

It's possible that Outlook 2007 was setup using POP3 and Outlook 2010 defaulted to iMAP. Go to your account setting and re-create your account using the manual option. Go to your gmail account directly and get the settings for Outlook POP3 and use them when setting up.

Which version of Office 2010 are you using? It sounds like you are using the "Online Web Apps" version. You need to get the offline version if you want to download your e-mails...

or use Windows Live Mail or Mozilla Thunderbird as an alternative.

Yip. Could be set to use IMAP.

It defaults to IMAP by default when auto configuring for gmail.

@kaisterkai

Also remember to tick the box in your account settings that says Leave a copy on the server and untick the Delete options if enabled.

Yeah.. I just checked it is iMAP..

But when I do the manual thing..

It asks for a incoming mail server and a out going mail server.. What must I say for that?

It asks me for a service
