Paying so much for games

Yup, also illegal, also depriving the publisher of their 'legal' dollar and contravening their right to only publish into the regions they choose + depriving the local rights owner/distributor from recouping the costs of paying for those rights in the local region

Scum everywhere
Lol, wtf, why so serious?

Except that the content creators and content owners are still receiving your money. Quite different to piracy. Much of the content isn't available here at all, especially with the BBC iPlayer. It certainly doesn't bother me - I support local TV with a DSTV Premium subscription, and when ShowMax offers 1080p I'll get that too.
Sies! Disgusting scum of thee earth.
You should buy a plane ticket to a region where it is legal to consume the content and watch it there to ensure everyone in the value chain of the content gets the money that they are entitled to.

My point is that by using UnoTelly, signing up in different region etc it means that you're on the continuum already, just at the least extreme end of it - so you have little justification for being holier than thou about the issue.

I'm not being holier than thou. I've only ever claimed that the ethical approach is to always ensure that those who are responsible for the entertainment that you enjoy should be remunerated.

You can preorder Blops 3 on G2A for R550. Slightly better price. CoD games generally have rubbish prices though until sometime after launch.

Secondhand hardware - most definitely. Secondhand games - hell no. The latter totally cuts out the developer and isn't much better than piracy.

Sounds holier than thou to me, but hey, maybe I misunderstood your intent

Wait a minute, how is second-hand hardware any different from that hand-made tool analogy? And why is second-hand hardware acceptable but second-hand software unethical?

scum and scum - you're depriving the author of his right to be remunerated for every person who partakes of the fruits of his labour
And watching porn borrowed from a "friend"?

Wow, this is going deep...

no problem here..
'cause i don't buy games
'cause i don't play games
'cause i'm kinda serious like that
