PC Link Computers: Legit?

Anyone used the collection method?

If so, is it a retail shop? (having stock on display)
I have used the collection method 3 times before from their Roodeport office. They operate from a house that has been converted into an office. You can't just go and browse stuff that you want as they get from their warehouse.

From my experience they are legit but sometimes they just don't respond to queries fast enough.

Update:

Sent the guys a new email yesterday evening and Jaco replied this morning.

Answered all my questions but main question was stock, which there was not.

Hi

I searched online for a beauty product which is not available in South Africa. The product showed up on google at the PC link shop.

After re searching though I was unable to find any other beauty products sold by PC link shop only computer products. Is this legit as I already made a payment of over R1500.

Please help

Sure. You made a payment of R1500 on PC Link for a product they do not sell. Try again.

pclinkshop.com do sell (import) quite a wide array of products, while https://pclinkshop.co.za is more focused on locally soured computer products. Did you make a purchase on the .com or .co.za site?

Hi there I made a purchase on the .com website but then saw quite a few reviews of them being a scam

As I mentioned, they have two sections, with the .com side focused on the importation of stuff. I fail to see the scam though. Simply be aware that there could be a delay of 20 working days before you get your stuff. Personally I would drop them an email on working day 15, for an update. Then follow up every 2/3 working days.

They have a Wootware v0.60 type of setup at a house, afaik, but are yet to update their communication skills from the beta version 0.10 - so give them some slack.

They have some good pricing on certain items... and especially with the (z390) motherboard shortages of the last month or more.
I ordered a mo'bo off their website; did the payment.... got the "payment processed" e-mail.
They removed the product from their website the next day.
No e-mail updates.
I eventually stressed and phoned their call centre, ...which was corona'ed.
But... it took 10 days (including a holiday on the Tuesday) for me to get the parcel..
Very little communication, but I got it (=D)... I haven't checked, but I wouldn't be surprised if the order still reads: "Payment Processed".
Delivery was on par with an order I placed with from Loot.com.
So... I am slightly concerned about my warranty, or if you would, A warranty process.
Yes, I would recommend them, but I have also ordered from banggood.

Buy from these idiots if you wish

They operate out of a house, you park in the street.

Good pricing, but when something breaks, which it will (murphy's law) then you are screwed. There is no phone operator, you land up with whomever walks past a ringing phone.

I had to threaten to get my money back.

STAY AWAY.

Use takealot or wootware

The Prophecy shop was run from a house, Geewiz is run from a house? A few places are run from a house and never had issues with them.

Yeah it's really not an issue where the business is run from.

I was skeptical of pclink, but ordered from them at about 7pm and managed to collect next day from their supplier. Everything went well.

I placed an order Saturday on the .co.za site.
There's an item I need to cancel on the order and get a refund for it. I found a better product elsewhere.

I sent through an email on Saturday, but didn't receive a response as of yet.

Should I phone them, or just wait?
I'm a bit hard up for the refund, because I need to pay the item I found elsewhere.

Thanks :)

Hi

Whatever you do don't use the clowns.
They are truly a useless bunch of tossers.

I ordered and payed for a hdd 1 July 2020, it is now 16 July and nothing...
They are just ignoring all emails and not answering any calls.
I have requested a refund due to non delivery, but nothing

Naming and shaming.
[email protected] don't give a f%c*, incompetent, or just plain thieve?

Wootware actually operates from an industrial area with a dedicated warehouse. I've been there countless times. They definitely don't operate from a house.

Yep, hence the v0.60 reference - a nerdy way to reference to Woot's roots/history when they also operated from a house (nothing wrong with that). Should've made it clearer, sorry. :)

Send another mail. They do respond eventually.

I bought the Navage nose cleaner from these guys on the 10th of June. since today I haven't received my order or email updates from them whatsoever. their number is also switched off. I guess this is another scam artist group on the prowl...
