PC Link Shop

I haven't seen this many new users attracted to a single thread ever

I'm buying a Laptop, specifically a Lenovo Y510p. The PC link shop offer is very good but I'm not exactly sure if they're trustworthy. Can anyone offer some advice? Here's their website: http://www.pclinkshop.co.za/

So, did you end up buying your laptop with them? I'm thinking of buying a laptop as well, as their prices are really good, but I'm not completely sure about them. Thanks!

No I eventually bought from LandmarkPC. No one I trusted ever verified PC Link Shop I'm afraid.

As stated before, I actually purchased online from PC Link and collected the goods myself at the address specified in their contacts section.
I am posting here since I have actually purchased from them, unlike the rest of the posts whereby it is purely being speculated whether this site is a scam or not...

LEGIT BRO!!!!!
2 LEGIT

Ok, so purchased a Asus DSL-N66U from these guy's. I can confirm they are legit and their address in Bergbron is in fact a their office address - I collected my router from them personally.

A couple of issues, while the ordering process is pretty straight forward, they never updated the status of my order online, they never acknowledged that my EFT had been received and they never acknowledged that they had received the payment into their account. They did not reply to any of my emails in this regard - I had to call them to hear that my payment was received and that I could collect the order in a days time.

My order was ready for collection when I arrived, the router was new and still sealed in the box, but no invoice or delivery note. The box was simply handed to me and I left. I have emailed them to ask for an invoice, somehow my emails are being read, but no action.

So, they are not too good in the communications department and if you are looking for that 'warm' feeling that your money is safe when spending a couple of K online, these guys are probably not your best bet.

PCLinkShop - Best online shopping experience!

Just discovered this thread while browsing the forums (this place is getting to be quite vast) and thought I should post on my online shopping experience with PCLinkShop: :)
http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php/616879-PC-Link-Shop-Best-online-buying-experience

Just thought I would post on a great shopping experience I have had buying a laptop from this online shop: http://www.pclinkshop.co.za

Placed an order on 07 May 2014 for the ASUS G56JR that other shops struggled to get in stock, yet PC Link Shop had this great feature where they actually update their site when they don't have available stock at their warehouse unlike most other online shops I have tried to purchase the item from. On 08 May 2014 I phoned to confirm stock (website said in stock, but needed to check for myself) and they confirmed stock and I also inquired re the possibility of a next day delivery and they actually recommended that if I could fetch the item from their warehouse the next day, this would be the quickest shipment method. I just had to make a direct bank deposit into their account before the end of business on 08 May 2014 for this to reflect in their bank account immediately. On 09 May 2014 I went to their warehouse at Tarsus Technologies to pick up the item and the transaction was concluded. Easy as pie! Thanks for your great service, PC Link Shop!

To resuscitate an old thread, a colleague of mine also bought a R12k laptop from them. Paid online, but went in person to collect it. They had the cheapest price from all the other sites he checked. Sounds legit to me.

I'm going to try them out, if they still have stock of what I want. Will post an update here.

I don't get it? If you do an eft to a pc store and they don't deliver your item, why don't you just do a chargeback?

Bought my Mecer inverter from them, http://www.pclinkshop.co.za/index.p...ank/ups/mecer-1200va-720w-12v-inverter-detail, was a quick and easy transaction. Made payment on Friday morning, received an email my order was ready to collect from Mustek, at 2PM the same day. Collected from Mustek on Monday with no issues.

There is an option to collect from their premises in Bergbron as well, or for courier delivery to you, but it was easier for me to go collect from Mustek.

Resuscitating once again. I've ordered and paid for a pair of headphones from PC Link Shop. Will update on Monday when it should be ready for collection.

So far: found the product I wanted twice on their site (2 separate pages but same model no.), with a price difference of about R 400. The cheaper one is the best price I could find online in SA and is in line with international prices.

I spoke to Michele on the phone and via email; she told me they only have the cheaper one in stock. Paid via EFT. She confirmed proof of payment had been received and that it should be ready for collection on Monday. I'll update then.

Update: Received an email from them this morning (addressed to "Dear ,") stating my headphones were ready for collection. Looks like the entirety of the business consists of two tannies in a home office in Bergbron, just off Gordon.

Currently blasting LCD Soundsystem on the new cans. So consider this an endorsement for PC Link Shop.

Looking at the previous posts on this thread and me with my low post count on Mybb I fear for my little online shop I started two weeks ago lol. I guess only time will tell. :)

Make sure you have a physical address and a valid contact number.
Then people will trust more.
