Hi

Once a day (normally when i get from work) all the programs i try start up crash, each and everyone. When i restart pc, all is fine again till it happens all over.

Downloaded norton and scaned , no virus.

I have windows 7 ultimate.

Any help? please

I personally don't like Nortons - try another anti virus program like Microsoft Essentials, just to make sure your PC is clean.
This could be a long fix. If it was my PC, I would go the good old 'format" route. I am running Windows 7 Ultimate as well and find it to be very stable - don't think your problem is there.....

Let's see what the other forum members have to say. ;)

i would like a format too..but dont have space to save my movies on..have to buy a new hdd 1st...lest see what other have to say yes.

Next time try putting your os and program files into a separate partition than your data / movie files. Then you don't need to worry about backing it up when you want to reinstall the os

+1!! I learnt the hard way. That is a definite must!!! Good advice.....

i had a space hdd..but i filled it up and had to use the windows 1...hehe... anyway, i had memtest-86 on a disk i used before..just did a mem test..passed 100%

Back-up, format, re-install doodaa doodaa... Backup, format, re-intstall, dooooodaa doodaa dei!

I think that I used this program once before, I can't remember which one I used, but it may be this one:

i.e. Test your PC's RAM.

I would also start with a memory test. I had very irregular blue screens on Win7. Turned out the memory was not up to standard. Also do not only test once. During a memory test which ran for about 24 hours I only had 3 failures during 8 iterations of the tests. When I dropped the speed of the memory, these failures disappeared.

only 1 test...will test more tonight while i play xbox...

why do people stop replying or commenting after 1 day???????

Well I wanted to help you in some way but there wasn't anything to add. Maybe test for spyware? And you tested your RAM but have you tested your HDD? It's unlikely but you never know.
