I don't know if anyone can help me. Every morning when I get to my PC It hangs. I don't know if this is software related or hardware related so please someone help me out. Also my windows is installed on a SATAII 120GB Seagate Drive. Herese my specs:

AMD 6000+
2GB DDRII 800MHz RAM
120GB Seagate SATAII Drive(wich has windows XP on)\
MSI K9N Nforce Motherboard
Geforce 7600GS 256 MBB Graphics Card

Software installed:
Games
K-lite Codecs
Winamp 5.5
Winrar
Office 2007 Enterprise
AVG Antivirus

I know it's not a virus

There is a saying that if you wake-up in the morning before 'it' does, then it is a sign of oncoming old age. If your PC 'hangs' in the morning - maybe it's the same problem.

;);):D:D I'm really sorry but I could not resist it. ;);):D:D

you need to be more descriptive ie: do you do anything before it starts to hang? did you install any apps when you started having this problem?

you only have one option for the moment

reload your system if it's still hanging you have a hdd problem

also download speedfan and check the temps

Try booting it in safe mode and let it rest for like 10 minutes on in safe mode.
Then do the same in "safe mode with network support".
If it does not hang during these, then we know it's a driver or software issue.

ok thanks will try but i'm sure I Don't know if this is software related as with my old system I installed the same exact stuff and it did not hang before. ok will try in safe mode but could be driver issue.

ok will try it but i'm sure it's not a software problem. I've installed the same stuff on my old system and it works

Have you checked your XP Event Viewer (under Administrative Tools -> Event Viewer). Check the Application and System sections to see if anything shows with a red cross around the date/time of the hang - I had a persistant problem the other day where the PC would just freeze for no reason, but was also totally random; was also not software related, and it turned out to be either my HDD, the SATA cable or the SATA plug on the motherboard - still checking it out so cannot confirm yet. Plugged in an older PATA drive with new cable, restored the drive image, and working perfectly now...
