PC to console gamers

You're right

Now stop berating us console owners every time you post in the Gaming sub forum.

Somewhere along the line PC Gaming lost it's simple 'install game' > 'play game' methodology. Console Gaming still works like that. Some people prefer not to fight with INI files for hours on end tweaking profiles just to get a game to run.

End of discussion

Did you miss the part where I said "Some people just wanna pop a game into their console from time to time and chill in the couch, and that's fine"

Aint the PS4 capped at 30fps?

That's not the hardware's fault is it :o

In the Witcher3's case it was due to the PS4 hardware not being able to handle the game at 60, CDPR then capped it at 30 to free up resources.

The rumor was that since development started before the PS4 devkits were sent out, they were expecting much more powerful hardware, as a lot of the devs where, and had to scale back.

And you're still avoid the fact the article literally says Witcher3 can't maintain 30 fps.

To explain low-medium settings to you, by definition the settings on a console would be low-medium on a PC. Short draw distance, little to no AA, lower resolution textures, lower frame rates, lower overall resolution.

Some people just wanna pop a game into their console from time to time and chill in the couch, and that's fine but to claim that the new consoles are "next-gen" is a load of marketing hooey. A console is nothing more than a convenient low spec pc where the user has zero control and the publishers have you over a barrel.
I don't care about your Witcher 3 30 FPS thing. You're a liar. I specifically asked you about the rubbish you were spouting about consoles barely being able to run games at 30 FPS @ 720p, and you've yet to answer. Now go take your usual anti-console rhetoric elsewhere, we're tired of hearing about how awesome your PC is...

Wow someone's on the rag

The next gen consoles can run games at 30fps @ 720p as long as graphics settings are not maxed out. The Witcher 3 looks very average on Xbone/PS4. At least it runs okay.

No, its just tiresome hearing the same stuff over and over. People got enough of that from Bryn.

Here's the thing, I didn't start the debate. I was responding to someone else who said they have the same performance. If you look back to the start of the thread I had quite an amicable debate with Pitbull and others.

It was only when Mike Hoxbig, who has a trollface avatar I might add, started raging that things became less pleasant. He asked me to prove my statement that there are console games that can't run at 30 fps.

I did.

Now he's butthurt.

Fair enough, but if recent events are anything to go by, consoles are not exclusive to that crown. I mean batman is a prime example that shoddy coding will lead to bad performance. That being said, Witcher 3 on xbox for me has never felt laggish nor have I experienced any sort of stuttering, besides the cut scenes, which happened on PC as well.

You couldn't prove schit. You came into this thread with your usual rubbish about how k4k consoles are, and when asked to prove a blatant lie about consoles barely being able to run 720p games @ 30FPS, you tried to shift the goalposts by bringing up a 1080p game that runs at 30 FPS. As I said, enough is enough. If you're not going to help the OP on his question then your contribution is useless and I will call you on the troll that you are...

lol, is that what your knickers are in a knot about? Ok, another example then, Dead Rising 3 was an exclusive on xbone 720p and had issues where it was running at 20fps.

Let's just agree to disagree at this point :)

Batman and some other console ports are bad on pc due to bad coding, some console games are bad due to their limited hardware. So slight difference in the issues the 2 platforms face.

The witcher 3 cutscenes only lag on pc if you keep the console limit of 30fps on. a Quick ini edit fixes it and the cutscenes run at a smooth fps.
